Ok I think I got a wierd passing moment but im not sure...
*existential crisis intensifies*

I went to some army offices with my brother cause he needed some documents,,,
So when we arrived at the reception I said to the random soldier there that we need some documents, then the guy proceeds to totally ignore me and asked my brother what kind of document does he need...
Now two things crossed my mind...
He either thought I was a girl so there is no way I would possibly need anything from the army so he ignored me,or he was so disgusted by my appearance he chose to just interact with my bro.

Was riding to the store as I often do and a car pulled out of a driveway nearly hitting me, darn college kids, they didn't look, slow down or anything... I had to hit the brakes pretty hard and as most folks know the front brakes grab much tighter than the back

I nearly flipped the bike, was up on the front wheel looking at the ground thinking "Please... NO!!!" Luckily the back wheel came back down, I landed hard but proper which hurt pretty good for a 52 year old with pre-existing injuries... It was pretty jarring to say the least

I bounced a bit when I landed and then a car full of guys pulled up and one of them yelled "Shake it don't break it Baby!!!" Feeling rather uncomfortable at the moment I shot evils their way

A guy from the back seat tapped him on the shoulder and said "That cow's 'bout ready to put a stomp on ya du" and they sped away

Mooooooo!!!
Wow VM that was a close call. Hope your not hurt. It seems people are in such a hurry these days if your not looking out for yourself and see them first in time to avoid an accident as you did tragedy can easily happen. Your lucky it could have been worse. Thankfully you saw the danger in time.

This reminds me of my first month back in Florida. I was staying in a motel  in downtown Tampa off Kennedy blvd. I had brought my two mountain bikes down with me for transportation until I got a vehicle. I was at a red light crossing Kennedy and I clearly had the walk signal. The next thing I remember is flying through the air backwards and landing on my ass. I looked up to see these two guys in a silver station wagon speed off. The car behind them pulled in and the guy got out to see if I was hurt. It turns out, the silver station wagon ran the red light and caught my bike's rear wheel trashing it and the rear of my bike. Luckily it missed my leg and I got away with a few scratches.

Not sure if this counts, but...
I caught a glimpse of a guy through the window next to me, but it was just myself. I'm still getting used to this, I suppose!

Thank you Allyda

It was a close call and it scared the stuff out of me but I'm okay

I am a rather careful and defensive rider, but a lot of people are in way too much of hurry and not paying attention and the advent of cell phones have only made things much more dangerous, texting while driving is illegal where I live, but people still do it

I've been in a bicycle VS car thing several years before, hence the pre-existing injuries, don't need another round of that stuff
The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Hopefully and most likely the first.  Girls are unimportant in the big real world of important things like joining the army and killing people.  You've lost male privilege and so have I but I'm OK with it.

Charley Bea(EmeraldP)

On Monday I went into the city to hand in some paperwork and then meet a new friend in person for the first time at her work and on my way to where I needed to drop off the papers, a man said "Morning Miss', I subtly(well to me) glanced over my shoulders to see if he meant someone else and no one else was around me so I got a slight smile(first real non forced one in awhile), then on the way to meet the friend I was walking though a shopping centre and you know those displays where people try to pull you over to talk about stuff, well as I walked past one(acting like I was looking for something, to avoid them) the girl at the desk said "Good afternoon Miss"(It wasn't mid day yet but no matter and another small smile appeared on my face.

It was one thing for my friend last week to not realise the girl in the car was me, but that was two correct genderings from complete strangers(first time ever). Woohoo!

Also All I was wearing was jeans, t-shirt, skater shoes, a hoody, my laptop bag(posing as a satchel bag) and sunglasses. I think the sunglasses had the major effect but still, finally. :D

Well, it seems like your voice is somewhat gender ambiguous though even if it does lean towards male, so that means you're making progress.

Ataraxia

Had my first PCP appointment at an LGBT friendly doctor's office. The nurse is asking me a bunch of intake questions, and she asks "when did you have your first period?"

Yea...apparently they had assumed I was FTM :o

I JUST GOT MA'AM-ED!
By a grocer, face too face.  Guy mode, thick green winter jacket... I waited for him to correct himself whilst I paid, but he just stared on blankly and DID IT AGAIN as I left and went onto the nect customer.

Wow...I see what the excitement is about now.

No way I pass.  I guess mannerisms,  voice, messy hair and my glove sleeves which are kinda unusual to see on a guy- plus some myopia. .. but wow.  I could just dance.

Body... meet brain.  Now follow her lead and there will be no more trouble, you dig?

Guy mode?  No more - he saw a woman in drab.  Quite likely if that's how you felt you were.  Yes the first few "Ma'am"s are really emotional.
