Is it normal to feel a bit uncomfortable at times when begining to transition, as in unsure that you want to continue, even if you do, for the most part, feel male. I feel comfortable in men's clothing, but at the same time, I am a bit uncomfortable. I now wonder if this is because of others, or if this is just a normal part of the process?

What sets off the uncomfortable feeling about wearing mens clothes?

I think it's worry about what others think...if I am just on my own, I feel good. Just all these people, even a therapist I see, keep telling me it is a phase, or at very least implying that I should just stop. Also, I am not passing, and some people have been downright mean because of that, and there are still a couple things I like about being female, including the idea of getting pregnant. But when asked what I feel inside, the answer comes instantly, I feel male.

So you are just having problems with people excepting your new gender status. Thats pretty normal I think when you start transitiong on the outside to your respective gender status(androyne or TS) is for people not to be excepting of the new you. Do you have friends that you can lean on at this rough time?  As for passing as male have you cut your hair that may help shed alot of your femminity away in my opinion. BTW, but you still like to be female in that you want to have a baby. What else do you like about being female? I'm just curious. As for people being mean to you is it people that you are/or used to be friends that are not excepting of the new you or just strangers that you pass by on the street.

Basically the only things I like about being female are the idea of having a baby, and sometimes being called "pretty"...the other thing is I don't really want to damage my breasts in any way, but would at the same time rather be male.

There really arn't any friends I can lean on much as of yet...at least that I can think of. The only people actually being "mean" are random passerbys, and there were only a few of these occasions. I got a surprisingly good response from people at school. Most were very accepting minus a few people.
