Well I finally went to see a therapist for a referral letter and it went great.  She is going to send the letter to my PC doctor and to my urologist who will perform the procedure.  Hopefully I can get it done ASAP.

Good for you! Congrats! !!

I had to get two letters just like SRS. Before insurance would cover the procedure.   Please check with your carrier.

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

I don't think insurance will pay for it unless the doctor codes it as some kind of male procedure.  I'm going ask if they can do that.  If not I'll have to dip into 401K.

Yep it's like I told the therapist shutting down T will solve so many problems and I won't have two opposing sex hormones confusing my body.

There's a good chance that it will coded like that so they will get paid.

I guess it depends on what they are willing to do.  Some want to go strictly by the book.
