I've got two days' worth of happy to report:

  • Friday: travelled to London to see Monty Python perform live. They were outstanding, but I particularly enjoyed Terry Gilliam, who bounded around the stage like a 15-year-old (he's 73). It was an enormous privilege to be in the same room with these legends, and we gave them a lengthy standing ovation. During the ovation the entire audience sang along to 'Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life', which was really poignant considering they're doing these shows as a last hurrah before they kick the bucket.
  • Saturday: having stayed in London overnight, I spent the day wandering round the British Museum. I had a whale of a time in which I saw (amongst other things) the Elgin Marbles, various Egyptian mummies, ancient Anglo-Saxon artefacts... oh yes, and the actual Rosetta Stone, which was pivotal in enabling us to decipher Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. It was wonderful to see these one-of-a-kind, historically significant treasures right in front of my face.

I'm now full-time and everything has been going better than I could have ever imagined. I can't believe how well things have been at work, people are already using the right pronouns and most of all everyone at work that I have crossed paths have treated me like any other person. Most folks can't believe how well I look and in some cases they did not even know that I was me lol.

Congratulations i am so happy for you  :)

I'm happy that today I had a long talk with my grandmother (I live with my grandparents) and I told her that I am moving forward and that from now on I will start wearing clothes that are more feminine and putting more make-up when I go out. Then I went out after adding some make-up to my eyes! =D

...which probably means there's stuff you can access on your side that I can't access here. ;)

I grew up in South Africa, which made me appreciate the opportunities I have here in the UK. Y'see, nobody goes to South Africa to perform. It's just so out-of-the-way, and such a small market, that it's very rare for anyone famous - or anything important - to turn up. So now that I live in the UK, I'm fully aware of how lucky I am to have access to this kind of stuff.

Recent events/my current situation are causing me to learn a lot of cool things about myself and where I'm at right now in my life.
I've been avoiding telling my Asatru friend that I also honour jötnar because I was afraid he'd frown on that. Turns out he already figured it out without me saying anything and totally accepts it. (Not that I need his acceptance, but it is nice.)
I know what I have to offer and I know how valuable I am.
It is friggin awesome being me.

I felt extra lonely today, so I hit up a good buddy of mine and we hung out at the river this morning and talked for a while.

The beautiful scenery and the company of a good friend has made me happy.

Such a refreshing place to be.

Very pretty scenery. Did y'all fish or just hang out and talk?

I love the water and being out on it, or at a riverside camping. It brings me piece of mind. And if I catch a fish or two so much the better!

We just hung out, i can't fish or hunt. The guilt of murdering an animal kills me.

I can only eat the animal. Regardless, i love taking in scenery, alaska has the best things to look at

I don't pick up pennies if my backpack is full of groceries (so it hurts to lean over) or if my kid is talking and I know she'd lose her train of thought if I distract her, but it does make me happy to find them even if I don't get to have them.

What made me happy today was music. That's a really reliable source of joy.

I just got off the phone with a former friend I haven't talked to in about eight years. She's the one who I asked out and then pushed away due to gender dysphoria, so I sent her a message explaining why. She forgives me, is totally cool with me being a dude, and wants us to be friends again. She told me she missed me and is glad I reached out to her.

So this morning got out on my bike for a ride. Cold but was nice.
Had to rebook a laser session from Manila on Friday to today.
Had legs and face done. Legs feel so soft now due to e and laser I love it. :)
So long and thanks for all the fish

I chose to pass as male today and actually felt really good about packing (I usually feel uncomfortable packing in public because I'm pre-op and pre-T so I always present really feminine)

AND, thanks to the Susan's forums, I've created/used my first STP device today! woo!

:)

I couldn't afford hormones this month so my brother gave me the money. He says I don't have to pay him back but I will when I get my first paycheck.
