Eevee,
I have tattoo's myself, several flower tattoo's on the male organ that I affectionately call the "clit." I have some of the ones I didn't like as much covered up by other flowers. Among the flowers I have a butterfly. I kept that one. So, it is much easier to cover the tattoo with another one that would fit the female gender better, than to remove the older masculine one all together. A good tattoo artist will cover up the older one so that you will not even see it at all. You decide what you rather do, but this way might look better than removing the old one, which is a lengthy process, from what I have heard.
