Ummmm...Hi!

My name is Erika. I'm 29 years old and am currently transitioning to become female. I decided to join these forums today because I don't currently know or have ever even talked to any trans*women before.

Let's see... I came out to my girlfriend (and as of almost a month ago, fiance!) almost exactly 2 years ago. I've been so lucky because she has been amazingly supportive this whole time.
I began laser hair removal the beginning of this year and began HRT the end of February.
And.... Reluctantly came out to my Mom and Step-Dad 2 months ago.

A little about me: I mostly grew up in red states (yuck). I graduated university with a degree in theatrical design. I'm currently working as a kitchen and bath designer for an evil big box store (it pays cash money!) I am not out at work but have been trying to push the androgynous envelope as much as possible. I'm very introverted and like to play it as safe as possible, especially when it comes to this part of my life.

Let's see...something else: I'm an avid musician and I like to draw comics. In fact, me and my fiance have just started a comic blog on Tumblr about our adventures as an originally hetero-normative couple transitioning into (an awesome) lesbian couple.

Anyway, I can't wait to meet some people here and actually feel like I'm part of the T community.

You are welcome. I like all kinds of music, but as far as playing goes, I've tinkered with different instruments here and there but my favorite is the piano/keyboard.  I've never been too good at writing lyrics xD but I've composed a few instrumental songs over the years.  Kind of varies between ambient, electronica and movie score type stuff. x3

Hope you enjoy it here. Your story sounds really cool. When I was little I used to make comics all the time. Never got professional with it, but perhaps I should sometime. A friend and I did a comic series about paper airplanes that where heros, that people in our class enjoyed reading when we made new ones. I wish I could find them again.

Hiya Erika!  I'm new here too. I checked out your tumblr comic and I LOVE it! I've always wanted to get a webcomic going but never had the time or inspiration lol. It's nice to see a comic tackle real life trans issues.

I'm trying to get more comics drawn but it's sorta difficult with all the things I have going on right now.
Today I had my final session of getting my face hair blasted off with lasers! And I started packing because me and Kristen are moving halfway across the country in about a month. Plus, me and my burnt and swollen face went clothes shopping today for "work appropriate" attire to hide  my chest. Lol.

Oh, Kaiden.  I play pretty much everything.  Bass, guitar, drums, piano. And im into the whole indie music scene. Neutral milk hotel, flaming lips, modest mouse. Bands like that
