Here we are at 100 years since WWI.  The thought at that time was the war would be over in a matter of days.  Rail cars full of soldiers heading off to fight had hand painted signs saying they were on the way to the other side's capitol.  It didn't work out that way and the war dragged on and on leaving millions and millions dead.

I am not sure it would be really different now.  The assumption stated here is that it would be a nuclear war.  Anybody who actually has those weapons knows better than to use them as it would lead to an "On the Beach" scenario.  We are more likely to end up in a war with an adversary that uses "assymetric" warfare to achieve their objective - much like the mess we waded into in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Those are still dragging on, but so far no draft.

If things get bad enough they will take anyone...

(1) If you are MTF you would have been required to register for the draft at 18 years old.
(2) If you are FTM you would not have been required to register for the draft. Is there

Only male individuals are required to register and be subject to being drafted into the male branches of the military.  This could present a real problem for: an individual with breasts; an individual with no penis; an individual with a non-functional enlarged clitoris, or an individual with a vagina (either natural or other). At what point would they be unacceptable for male military service?

Do you have to have totally natural male parts for male military service and totally natural female parts for female military service? Or is some degree of transition acceptable for either and what would that be?

Either way, they can't/won't take me back. I was in the military already and I'm now on tdrl and 70% disability for losing my damn mind. They wouldn't put a gun back in my hands.

This would depend most likely on your legal status. If you're legally listed as a male and would pass the medical criteria (which given HRT and other frequent medical checks we would hardly pass I think) then sure. In some countries regardless they don't even care if you're a woman or how old are you as long as you pass the medical check.

Personally I have an exception paper because of my health (mainly poor eye-sight and related issues) from when I was shortly before 18 and was on a medical check before the mandatory one year military service for young men (sorry for poor translation as I have no idea how this thing is called in English). Which got canceled by law right next year anyway :-) .

im joining the royal navy to train as a nurse and im allowed to live in the female quarters and continue receiving any treatment. finally i only have to complete the ladies fitness test so i get an extra 2 mins to run a mile.
