Every morning I wake up I get a burning sensation in my vagina. I heard other girls saying that word 'hot flash', is it that? What causes that? Or is it I don't like drinking water often? What could be the real cause of this? It doesn't give a pain sensation but rather a burning sensation. I want this to stop but dunno how.

Never heard of that.  The only possibility I can think of is a UTI or vaginal infection.  I've been lucky I've never had either, so I can't really speak from direct experience.

A "hot flash" is when your whole body feels hot and you sweat for a little while even in a situation where there's no external reason for that. It's not a localized burning sensation.

That sounds like it might be an infection, and I second the suggestion that you see a doctor. It certainly isn't normal (but probably isn't anything scary).

I wake up with that too most days, just a mild kind of sensation. I thought it was an infection as well but my surgeon assured me it wasn't.  Having the lube remain clear after dilation, no fever, and no terrible odors seem to indicate there isn't anything wrong. However, I'm on my second course of antibiotics from my primary doctor, who'd rather be safe than sorry, especially since I have a little spot of granulation tissue/tearing that was oozing a bit.  I'm 8 weeks out and this has been going on about 3 weeks, and seems to be getting better.

I was told that the sensation can be from nerves reconnecting.  Moving up to a bigger dilator seemed to help.  A friend said that it may be because the tissues are getting compressed which helps settle things down instead of everything just kinda hanging out and getting overstimulated.

Agree with Jenna and the others of maybe a infection. Doctors are a good tool to use to rule out sti or others problems.

At 16 days Post, I developed a yeast (Candida) infection due in part to the antibiotics I was on being a little too strong.  Just a shrug of the doctor's shoulders, a one day single pill fungicide pill, and three days later stuff was fine.  I did have a burning sensation AS I TOOK MY DILATOR OUT.  Not serious, but it did warrant Doctor's investigation and care.  Another possibility is that your underwear is too tight, so get some cotton underwear that is two sizes (or at least ONE size) bigger than you usually use.  This is not the time for a lingerie party, it's a time for healing.
