Does any one know any FACTS about libido and normal erections returning too 100%,
IF one stops all HRT treatment? I don't mean right away, but eventually?
I don't care about sterility. I already am...

I have been asked countless times and I have no clue on the matter.

Would love to hear facts if any one can find some.

Thank you So Much

Yes it will return. But it will depend on how long you were on HRT and your age. The longer you were on it the longer it will take to return, the older you are the likelihood is that the libidos will be lower.

You should probably ask this in the De-Transitioning section, you may get more luck there...

But I will hazard a guess that the problems with getting a solid answer on this front are as follows...

  • De-Transitioning isn't actually that common, so finding people that can report their experiences on it is not easy
  • It depends on how long you have been on HRT, the longer it has been, the harder it is to de-transition and regain full "functionality"
  • Libidos, sex drives and what turns people on/how easily they get turned on varies wildly. As such, even two identically biological people who have de-transitioned at the same time etc may find their results may vary

In general, I would say don't bet on it. While I have seen some people say that erections return etc when/if they stop HRT or go back to getting testosterone to de-transition, nothing is guaranteed...

That is why starting HRT is not a decision to take lightly. It can and does irreversibly change you and your body in numerous and varied ways...going back and trying to undo those effects again is not an easy process in the slightest.

In short...don't bet on it...our bodies are not really built for two puberties...let alone three xD
You say "Using humor as a defence mechanism" like it's a BAD thing!

Last year I was kind of concerned about the amount of pills I was taking in a day, and since my testosterone levels were slightly below average to begin with, my doctor suggested that for a month or two, we try lowering my dosage of oestrogen slightly to see if we couldn't achieve the same feminising effects with fewer pills. Wasn't a good idea in the end, though, as it wasn't enough, and the little red spots that had covered my forehead since the onset of male puberty came back, my dysphoria began to really flare up again, and I got, among other things, morning erections again. >_< So by my own experience, yes, stopping HRT or reducing your dosage to one which is ineffective can cause a return, limited or otherwise, to being physically male. This was after only a year on HRT, though, and as others have identified, the longer you've been on it the less likely it is that you'll switch completely back to male mode. So your mileage may vary, as they say. ^^

My response is based on the fact I spent two years on HRT before detransitioning. I think it took over a year before I regained full libido and sexual function, however some of that was psychological, I wasn't keen on regaining a male level libido and resisted it strongly.

Here's a question I just thought of.

What about Fat Redistribution. Will ALL fat go back?

I discovered, to my intense disgust, that male body odor and morning erections returned within a freakin' WEEK of going off HRT for surgery. (My penis reinflated to its original size, too. That was a horrible revelation.) I had super low T (below the male range) pre-HRT *and* the pathologist later reported that my testes were totally nonfunctional, too, so apparently I'm just responsive to hormones in general...

Pretty much. If you have glandular development in the breasts that is different, the breasts will deflate in size somewhat but because of the glandular development there will be breast tissue.
