There is a new pair of jeans out. they are incredibly form fitting and look fantastic on the models showing them. the only thing is they cost around 150$ . They do look fantastic , but I'd have to lose my tummy first. I don't know though 150$ for a pair of jeans . Their called Spanx jeans

$150 for 10 pairs = no problem..  $150 = 1 pair, def. problem.  I get sweaty just thinking about paying more than $9 for jeans from Goodwill!  Form-fitting or not.  but that's just me, at this moment.. ask me again after I try on your jeans tho   :P

I have a very simple rule, if it isn't something special, then $100 is my absolute limit. By special I mean like a wedding dress (event), Riding boots (Occupation), or a really nice winter coat (protection). So, if I am paying for fashion then $150 is right out, but if I am paying for something else maybe.

In practice the only thing that ever bumps into this limit is shoes. I would probably have a really tough time paying anything more than $50 for some jeans. I buy clothes second hand more often than new and usually speaking, I tend to spend less than $20 on jeans.

Also even if the clothes item is special, I have another rule that is unless I am doing something on a competitive level I will not spend over $1000 on anything not transportation, health care, education, or housing related. So, no $5k wedding dress in my future, nor $2k vacuum cleaner, but a $20k car is something reasonable.

Another aspect, for me, anyway.. is... when I purge again (it -will- happen), will I feel bad about throwing (giving) away such expensive clothes?   yeah, I'm still "there"

This all depends on how comfortable you are in parting with money.  Since I am of Scots heritage it is hard to part with $$$.  I do not know if I would spend $150 on jeans as I see those as a sort of utilitarian garment.  My normal limit there is about $30 and I often spend less.  For something I feel is really nice I will spend more.  I have a black leather suit I really like and I spend a bit more that $150 getting it - and that was on a 50% off sale...

My late wife had one rule about money and clothes.  She would buy whatever she wanted, but ONLY when it was on sale.

HTH.

Never more than $20-25 on a pair of jeans. Maybe rarely I'll spring for $35 if I really want the jeans, otherwise i'll wait for a sale.

I'm a clearance sale person myself. $ 150 could buy a few months OF spiro and E

I usually try to pay about $25-$40 a pair. Sadly I noticed that if you want a great fit, and amazing quality, you gotta pay more. As for paying $150 for a pair....im probably gonna say no and spend that on several pairs of jeans, some new shoes and a couple new tops.

That depends on if I like them or not. I've paid $30 for jeans and then I've paid $450 for jeans. It just depends on how much I like them.

I'd pay anything for some correctly-fitting genes that accentuated my personality. :eusa_pray:

Well, if you really like them, go for it. If you have a job or business that you can use it as a tax writeoff, better yet. But if not, I'm with Natalie on this and you can afford them, get 'em.

Definately wait until you lose your tummy and then make for sure that they are gonna look good on you before laying down that kind of money though. Some things I have found look better on me than the models that push them and others look like crap on me. remember Guess Jeans? Looked like crap on me and made my buttt look flat but the women's Levi's accentuated my derierre Jsut make sure you try them on first.

LOL. Go to Clarksdale MS at the intersection of Hwy 61 and 49 at midnight and wait for a man to show up with a mangy dog. >:-) The charge may be your eternal soul. ;D You know Robert Johnson and the Blues. I actually went there once according to the legend but it's an overpass now and no one showed up. Paranormal investigation legitamately. I guess even the Devil is scared of today's drivers. ;D

I had that phase for about 20 years... I feel your pain :(
What helps is if you feel the need to purge, then put all your clothes in bin bags and put them somewhere out of sight (and out of mind). You'll be so glad you did when you find them again!

And sticking to the topic... I'd say 100 is the most, but they have to be unique, well stitched and most of all, comfortable!

well, I'd love to get those form fitting jeans if I had the money to freely spend I would spend  $ 400 on  a pair on jeans if my body was right , so I could show off my legs and hips if I had them. Of course that's just a dream to have those kind of assets both anatomically and monetarily.

You never know who you may run across here. ;D Stephanie i hate to tell you but the deal on the hips would be the same if you wanted to be the absolute mostest perfectest woman on earth. So go for the most you can get out of the deal hon. >:-)

Actually though he disappeared for 8 mos. and went to Arkansas, don't know where but pretty sure that is how he learned to play really good blues guitar. I believe the crossroads and the whole selling his soul was just a gimmick. It worked though.
