So I finally came out to my brother and my sister. I started therapy in November and HRT in January, so it's been a long process getting to this point, and I don't know why but I had to psyche myself up to press the send button on the emails.

My sister's reaction: 'It makes me so sad to think that you've been dealing with this for so long on your own'.

My brother's reaction: 'You've got to be yourself.  As the song says don't worry, be happy.'

Two more steps done on the journey, and something less to worry about.  I am very lucky to have such a warm and understanding family.

Happy it went over so well with them

My brothers were the first ones I told, pretty important for me

That's so awesome, congratulations!

I just came out to my sister too, I know what you mean about hitting the send button..  that was probably the most nervewracking part for me too.

I'm glad things went well for you!

Yes, mine are very important to me too. We're separated by several thousand miles and we're not always in contact a lot, but we've always been close and I was worried I might lose them. So glad that isn't going to be the case.

Yes it's an awful moment isn't it? :) I think the trick is to look away and think about something else as you do it :D

Haha, I think I actually covered my eyes when I did it.  :D

I am in the same situation and I found it really tough to tell them.   However, all three were supportive and one said that knowing me he wasn't all that surprised!   I am glad it worked out for you too.

Congratulations.  I am glad you have understanding sibs!
