Hi All,

Just stumbled across this forum... which is crazy because I have been working on transition for awhile now.

I'm currently at a point where I am starting to do most things as my female self expect going to work... although I have come out to my managers and I plan to go FT by end of the year as a goal.  Went to the grocery store for the first time this weekend which was a HUGE step for me.  I have no problems driving around, going thru drive-thru, but getting out of my car and walking into a public place like a grocery store was crazy for me to do.

I've been seeing my therapist (works with Gender Identity) now for about 4-5 months and am starting to get frustrated that she thinks HRT is still a few months away.. but I will be patient.  HRT is on my mind a lot lately, I'm 32 and just want to get started sooner than later.

Anyways just wanted to say hi.

Hi Steph, welcome to Susan's! I think I had been several months into my transition before I found this site too. Sounds like things are progressing well for you, and that first out-in-the-open experience is usually unforgettable. Congrats!
