Well, apparently, they are letting me be manager of a store starting Thursday. Its not the one I've been at for 3 and a half years, but the one that I have filled in at some recently. I hope they know what they are doing...

You deserve the recognition and a good raise Jaime, you have certainly paid your dues girlfriend, congratulations Sis!  :eusa_clap: :icon_bunch:

Thanks. Hopefully things should turn out well and when the manager at the store I've been assistant manager at retires, I'm hoping that I can put in for managing that one. I basically did the first of this year when she had the aneurysm. I like the busyness of the bigger store, the one I am going to has less sales and less traffic than I am used to.

This will be a good start and perhaps set you in line for the other store based on your experience.

Couldn't agree more. The Black Dog hasn't run with me for ages. And I don't miss it

I've been doubting a few things about myself, but admiring my long, thick hair keeps me confident. Tonight I was just thinking about how nice it is, and it made me have one of my rare bursts of really feeling feminine. At least I still have something going on, even if I'm pre-everything. I just wish I could wear it in a more feminine fashion instead of just tying it back like the hippie guy everyone claims I resemble. One day...

Well at least tonight I'll go to sleep with some happiness.

Once again, a couple of days' worth of happy to report. I've been offline for most of last week because I was on annual leave whilst my kids were on holiday with their grandparents.

  • Popped up to Alton Towers (a famous British theme park) and spent the day going on most of my favourite rides. I bought two photos of myself on the rides, and it was amazing to see myself looking a) happy and b) unmistakably male. As another bonus, I hardly attracted any stares at all... because for once I wasn't the most interesting thing around for people to look at. I'm sure plenty of people here will appreciate what a blessed relief that can be.
  • Had a movie night in which I watched 3 award-winning movies back-to-back. It's a rare treat for me to be able to watch whatever I want without someone in the family moaning about it.
  • Whilst the kids were away, I tidied my youngest's bedroom from top to bottom. She had a lot of old 'kiddy' stuff in her room, which has now gone. It now looks like a proper teenager's room and she's really happy with the results.
  • I got hugs off both of my children when they returned from holiday. That's the first hug I've had off either of them since I came out two years ago, and it was absolutely wonderful. They're definitely coming around.
  • I took the initiative and finished off a DIY project that Hubby has been procrastinating about for, oh, ten years now. Heh heh heh...  >:-)
  • I had to reschedule my next T shot because the nurse who administers it is going away on holiday. So now I have to take it one week earlier! :D
  • Aaand last but definitely not least... my new passport arrived! It has the correct name, photo and gender marker in it. I now have valid, government-issued photo ID proving who I am. Woohoo! ;D

So happy for you dear friend, looks as if all that time you were paying your dues is finally bearing fruit! Glad about your kids attitude adjustment too, sounds like they're growing up.

Discovered a bunch of songs that I literally have forgotten about for over 5 years. It's like finding a new song you love but you already know the words and everything lol.

Uh - how about the lyrics of "Blinded by the light", can you decipher that gibberish?

Don't need to Shan, the net is a wonderful thing. ;)

That makes me remember the good ol days where you had to pray your CD booklet had the lyrics inside it because lyrics websites were few and far between.

The problem I've found with lyric sites is that often the lyrics are provided by fans and they don't always get them right.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

I wore something slightly different from usual, and no one questioned it. I did get a few people saying it looked cute, though!

I also went to get my eyes examined, and the eye doctor was quite charming :-*

Thanks Allie - We boaters seem to be few and far between on here - Just a broken block but it did ruin a nice sail

Building them is a lot like work Antonia - I'll let you build them and then I'll sail them  :)

be well
