Alright so didn't really know what to put the subject as but basicalllly... My doctor is very support and nice 'n stuff. I feel very comfortable with him, can straight out say whats on my mind. But...... He knows very little about what to do, where to refer me to 'n stuff. On the 2nd of july he referred me to the only Trans Clinic in the area. However...... He has no idea what'll happen at this trans clinic or when they'll respond to me. Just that I'll receive a letter from them eventually. Well it's been nearly a month already, no letter.....

Like... I dunno I'm lost and as nice as my doctor is he clearly don't know what to do. Does the above make any sense to anyone? Is there anything I can do to get the help I need?

Can you get in contact with the clinic and check to see if you have been referred ? I guess you would need to ask your GP for the clinic info if you do not already have it.

What part of the UK are you ?

I live in Latin America so fortunately I don't have these strong "gatekeeper" roadblocks to hinder my progress.

Whenever you DO get a decent endo and referral letter etc., I can share with you that my results 6 and a half weeks in, at age 56, are amazing.

You can read more details elsewhere in these forums including the intro section, my "progress report 5 weeks in" in MTF talk, but I am having amazing results in just 6 and a half weeks in...

I have had 2 "male fails" in the last few days, while presenting as male.  Wow!

People are starting to stare at my breasts.

Micronized progesterone is easy to get where I am, from a major manufacturer.  So is estadiol valerate.  These 2 are side-effect-free as far as I know.  If you can get a sympthetic endo, maybe you could try what is working great for me.

Hugs,
Joanna.

Hampshire, ok. I was just trying to work out which GIC was near you. I think you may have a choice of either Exeter or Charing Cross. Even though your GP may be easy to get on with, it may be worth switching to another one that has trans experience. Your practice manager may be able to advise you in this respect. In the meantime Speak to your GP again and get them to do some chasing and find out where they have referred you to.
