Hi everybody,
my name is Jasmine. I've been coming on this site a lot lately. I am a twenty year old transsexual.  I am having SRS in February thank God! I am also a Roman Catholic willing to speak with anyone struggling with their gender identity and their faith. Well hope all is well. Oh I do have a question... Post op are injections better then pills? I do not want to worry about daily pills every single day of my life! I want to have injections now too, because I have heard so many good things about it.

I was on injections for 8 years until i came to Canada. It is very hard to get in Quebec so been on the stupid hate with all my heart and soul patches. Grrrr.

Will come down to what your doctor will Rx along with available in the market place. But yes 1 x every other week was well worth the minimum pain.

Safe passage on your path

Hi! Jaz!! Welcome to the site!!

I just switched to injections myself about a month ago. I was on pills before that and I gotta say it really is a lot better, at least for me. If you're someone like me with a high metabolism you're gonna feel loads better on injections cause your estrogen levels are more consistent throughout the week vs pills. It's been quite nice this past month.

Congrats on your srs date!!

I switched from patches to injections and really feel a difference. I will not use any other method now.  :)

Sounds like injections are better, but do you still need to take anti androgens? I hate pills, I have been on them for eight years. I hate living with the fear that they will stop working, and that I'll become a guy again. :( I can't wait for SRS.

But sweetie you never were a guy!  ;) Some can get away without AAs with injections, but some can't. It is just a personal trait which can't be foretold as everyone is different. I will be glad to be off Spiro myself. I just have to live with it until Dec 2015!!  :)

Yea I still take spiro, I honestly can't wait to be off of it. So sick of fighting the dry skin side effect. My skin was already dry to begin with but with spiro it's even worst. But it's whatever I've learned to maintain my awesome complexion regardless of that nasty side effect.

Hi Jaz, congratulations on your surgery! I think injections are better for your body, because the medicine doesn't need to be processed by the liver like tablets do.

Yeah you're right I was never a guy. Missy... Sorry I do not know how to use this site. Are you having SRS in 2015 too?
