Hi everyone,
So I started HRT the other day :D (so awesome)
But every time I've taken Spiro - in the form of spiractin its felt like it's stuck to the back of my throat.
I'm not sure if it actually has or not, but it just feels like its sitting there.

Is this normal/ is there anything i can do to get rid of that feeling- I just don't like it :P

It happened to me couple of times, just drink some water to enable it to go down your throat

You have to take it with enough water to wash it all down otherwise it could easily do this (or at least feel like it has). It has a fairly unpleasant taste to it so you need to flush it to avoid it sticking to your tongue (happened to me once...disgusting!).

It tastes like ass rolled in chalk. I have to wash it down with the strongest thing i can find. Usually prefer milk or juice.

I used to take mine with a full bottle of water, then just keep drinking more like 2 or 3 times  I have OCD, so I understand.

I have found that taking it with a drink of coffee or tea manages to eliminate the taste and always makes it go down easy ^^

When I have trouble taking meds and water either doesn't help or doesn't wash the taste out well enough, I'll drink some soda to get it down.

That minty smell wasn't fooling my taste buds. It was pretty vile tasting when I used to take it and on the odd occasion initially when it got stuck on the back of my tongue. Thereafter I would place it under my tongue before I took that big gulp of water.

Thankfully I don't have to take that crap anymore.
Nobody's perfect ...   I'll never try,
But I promise I'm worth it, if you just open up your eyes,
I don't need a second chance, I need a friend,
Someone who's gonna stand by me right there till the end,
If you want the best of my heart, you've just gotta see the good in me.

You all think that tastes bad? It's always tasted like mint to me... I've taken far less pleasant pills than that. The best though is the AD amitriptyline I took for a bit, it was like roses :3

I'm taking spiro and just drink a full glass of water with it, sometimes cranberry juice.  Haven't had it get stuck or anything like that, yet.
Always running away from myself...

I understand completely how you feel, it is rather anoying when it happens to me. Very occasionally though.
I put one on mouth,  and immediately follow with water, then the next...

I think the trick is to swallow it fast, and with enough water. the longer it is in your mouth,  the greater chance of it sticking to your throat.
