Trigger Warning

oh, let's see...
I read far too many posts here, wrote many unposted responses... 'oh shyte, I really can't comment on that, I lack the experience...'
'nope, can't say that... mayhaps I misread the post...', 'h-e-double hockeysticks... I'm not offering anything useful... I shouldn't be wasting the bandwidth...'
Caught a glimpse of my linkedin profile pic. That was rough. Couldn't decide if I looked more grandfatherly or maybe simply avuncular. Neither of those will do. That worked so well in concert with a particular thread I encountered on my fugue through the Forum. Staring at the pic of one of the contributers in the thread, at her lovely blonde hair, hair that was actually growing from her scalp, that in contrast to mine own pate, vast barren landscape, alopecia barely held in check by heroic pharmceutical warfare... sigh. I was left with the feeling that passing should never be an issue for me for the same reason that summiting Everest should never be an issue for me. Ain't gonna happen, not next Tuesday, not ever. While on the one hand, I know that shouldn't really matter, the intellectual knowing of it loses ground against the emotional wanting of it to be untrue.
While this is Ellie
and I am she, she isn't really me. She came out of a box and is reinstalled therein. The face behind the arm is unambiguously and painfully male.

So... what did I do today? I stupidly fed my dysphoria, then selfishly ranted about it. Sorry.

peace, out...

I'm not buying it completely Ellie, my gut feeling is that you're pretty good looking, and if I'm wrong so what? You are a wonderful person in my estimation and i get that from having read many of your posts and commentaries. Chin up hon!

Thank you Shan :) I really appreciate that! I was just having a bit of a down day. I suppose I needed someone to confirm that it's what on the inside that really counts.

Thanks VM! Was just having a moment, you know? Sometimes I feel a little insecure, but then I hear from my friends here, and it passes :)

Heading home from a 13hr shift from work and not to mention it's a 40 mile drive home. Just wow this is getting old.

Permanently installed cute LED lights along my lanai fence out front and put them on a timer so they go on and off automatically.

I'm thinking I should put a cute tablecloth on the table out there, get a candle and have dinner out there since it's such a nice day.

Decided I'm going to keep this small. Highlights of the day only.

Yesterday I took out my PS1, after 5 months not playing any video games. So played some Need for Speed: High Stakes and Tenchu, both already being games in progress, continuing where I left those many months ago. That was just the kind of fun I needed to break up the monotony I've been experiencing every single day for all too long now.

Today I've been replying to messages and uploading pics.

All of my drawings (at least those I still have):

Sprite composition works for NintendoAge (didn't create the actual sprites and backgrounds, but edited and put these together for a Cornerstone contest back in March 2009 over at that game site - won that contest):

Yeah, that's its, everything else is the same, no point mentioning details I do every day over and over again.

@Ellie I agree and second what Auntie Shan said. When I come across one of your posts on here I always look forward to reading it. Your a very beautiful both inside and out. We all have our bad days. So cheer up hon.

So, I just ran across this thread. What did I do today? I actually accomplished a lot. I paid my water bill which was the last I had to, finished up grocery shopping for the month, thank gosh!(The only shopping I hate is for groceries, lol!), In between those I took my truck in to a friends shop to get the codes read and now know I need a new coil pack. It's been dropping #2 cylinder lately once in a while and now I know why -one of my coils is going bad. Anyhoo, continuing on, I found two cute strapless bra's my size one pink with sparklies and one black at a local store so got them, picked up my cat food then went home. After putting things away I fed and took care of my kitties which includes some play time, then got on my network here and started a Skype conversation with my friend Reaver, Read some pm's, answered one then looked over some threads. Also thank's to a friend I got to update my Google settings, see some fine artwork, then after I went back to looking at threads and answering emails, I found this thread, read through it and here I am, lol! It's been a busy day!

Oh forgot to mention -turned down a date with my new next door neighbor who came over and asked me out. I was surprised, flattered, and freaked out at the same time for a little while after this happened, lol!

I sure hope tomorrow goes at a slower pace.

Give her some direction Evelyn, I know nothing about that stuff but I'm sure she could use your help.

Megan if you still have any of those classic video game libraries, you're sitting on a gold mine.

All that stuff is long gone (retitled that folder to 'Stuff I used to have' and made a new folder for things I currently have and actually need to add to). Sold all of the games for chump change when we became homeless. Gave away the books to a library, abandoned the dvds. Sold all my Sailor Moon stuff (except the cds which I still have) so I could rebuild an NES collection (funded solely off of my Sailor Moon things) but then ended up having to sell that too when becoming homeless a second time, this time with a dog too. Now, I'm afraid to even dare collect anything. I have a like a dozen or so GBA and DS games, a tiny book collection and 2 dozen PS1 games and that's it, but its more than most have. Better to have only a few thing and appreciate it, than to have a lot and take it all for granted.

You are so adorable Megan, I love your smile! ;D

I actually made a list because I felt unproductive yet exhausted at the same time...

Snooze alarm
Shower and rest
Leave for bus
Arrive at client's
Breakfast - Cupcake and water (augh lol, nothing else open in the mall strangely enough)
Work
Lunch - Orange Julius Relish Dog
Work
On the way home - bought underwear, thermos, blue t-shirt, blue hoodie, Coke (regular)
At home - did laundry and fell asleep
Woke up and went for a haircut, showered
Messed around and ate soup
Headed to work again
  •

Felix

my list is all tiny things -

actually cooked breakfast instead of just getting out cereal bowls
hung up some shirts
sorted papers and got some of the superfluous clutter into recycling
failed to find popsicle molds in the kitchen stuff but set aside a tupperware cake box and big lidded pyrex bowl for donation
successfully smiled and made small talk with multiple people
read most of a book about the history of nursery rhymes
made progress in teaching my cat to stand up on his hind legs when I ask him to. I'm not sure why I'm doing this, but it's working even without a treat now.
everybody's house is haunted

After work yesterday, came home and did pretty much nothing all day. I did play a little bit of Playstation, but not much of that either. Even with the air on it was hot, over a hundred outside, over 80 inside, I felt sick, weak, and had a headache for a while. Gums at the rear of mouth still swollen over tooth, right ear still hurts inside, lymph nodes on right side of neck are more swollen and seems to be more of them are, but not running a fever or feeling really at that horrible. Sitting on my ass too long all day, decided to do some stretches last night.

Early this morning around 6 I woke up with my left leg feeling numb, hmm, that again, and not coincidence that I did some stretching last night which I hadn't done in a while. This morning spending much of my time on the toilet, having no idea what upset my digestive system, but had to call my work, I'm just in no shape to go in. And can't make it up, end of the week and boss won't carry hours over, oh well, guess the freight is all on them then. I'd have asked to work a later shift, but hell with it, I'm not up for it.

Got to go out and get groceries later, need to refill my estradiol, and some other things, but have to wait and see if I can feel at least well enough to go out.

Hope you feel better soon, meanwhile you have to get the teeth fixed or they will poison you, that's probably what the swollen glands are all about. Wishing you well sweetie and do as I have suggested and quit dragging your feet dammit!  :icon_bunch:

I actually pulled out the remnant's of a broken toothy from my gums that has been causing me pain all week. Turns out my gums underneath it had healed. So every time I closed my mouth I was driving sharp edges back up into them. I have another broken tooth on the right side of my upper jaw that will eventually do the same thing. I have bad teeth from my accident in 91. And I'll eventually have to get implants but for now don't have the $$.

Other things I did were; I sold some small unused trinkets and made $35.
I had a conversation with my widowed neighbor friend about helping me do some housework, and other
help I'll need with my upcoming SRS post-op while I'm healing.
Finished answering a few pm's read a few threads here on Susan's.
I spoke with my friend Reaver over Skype who's now changed his name to Chris.
I then went back to reading over threads on here, and I'll be watching a movie shortly.

So really I didn't do a whole lot, but did get a few little things accomplished.
