Death Note - Best thriller/action series I've ever seen... Not a big fan of Neir but hey beggers can't be choosers.
Elfen Lied - The most twisted and shocking ending I could've imagined... I cried like a little girl.
Serial Experiments Lain: Just a really cool sci-fi-ish series, I love the story development.

There are of course more that I really enjoy... but those are my favorites.

Favorite anime of all time: Yu-Gi-Oh!, of course! It's like, the centerpiece of my entire childhood! I also still play the card game weekly in tournaments; whenever I feel like playing it instead of Magic: The Gathering, anyway. I have the entire series on my laptop. Favorite manga and anime, though, besides YGO, would be Death Note. I personally prefer reading the manga than watching anime, actually. More engaging reading backwards.

Are we including American animation?  I prefer American animation.  If so, then Batman The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, X-Men TAS, Spiderman TAS, Hulk TAS, Superman TAS, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon.

If we're strictly doing Japanese animation, then I'd go Dragon Ball Z.

for movie I'd go Akira.

I loved Yu-Gi-Oh! as a kid... Pokémon too for that matter.

As usually I'm late to the party butttt I shall participate nonetheless! Haha I really can't pick. Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Samurai X  D: oh man.. In my lifetime so far the one that stands out the most was my first that I actually fell in love is G Gundam so yup ha

My favourite anime is Fushigiboshi no Futagohime.

It's the most adorable and happy and wonderful anime ever. I love Magical Girl anime and it's my favourite ever! More people should watch it.
Princess Fine and Princess Rein are such wonderful people, and they're so much fun. And watching the show just makes me so happy.

If you love Magical Girl anime like Sailor Moon, or cute anime like K-On!, you should watch Fushigiboshi no Futagohime!

I don't know if i mentioned but a few months ago i picked up Death Note and it was the most amazing things i ever watched, though i hated the ending...i loved the whole anime, it's my favorite now and hoping to watch more anime like death note...any suggestions would be great .

Has anyone else mentioned Avatar: The Legend of Aang? The original series was fantastic, such a shame the film made such a hatchet job of it.

I just need the YF-19 and my veritech fighter collection from Macross Plus will be complete.

Series: Galaxy Express 999. I used to watch it on a UHF Japanese station without subtitles and had no idea what was going on, but it still held my interest.

Movie series: Project A-ko. Loved that she turned out to be Superman's daughter at the end of the first movie. I wish they would put it out on DVD.
