Looked in the mirror today and saw a not too homely old broad looking back at me, not too bad though, could have been much worse and been an old geezer instead. 

I feel bad for thinking this, but I kind of wish I wasn't going to my grandma's tonight. Another night, sure, but I worked last night, just woke up, and have to go work another night shift. I sort of wanted the day to myself...and even if I had it to myself it would still involve working on my thesis. I don't even get my usual Monday off this week.

I got part of my Christmas shopping done today and already got both of my sister's birthday gifts.  I got their Christmas gifts as well.  The way I see it, I can either cry at Christmas time or cry now.  Since I actually have a job now, I choose to get my crying out of the way.  That way when Christmas rolls around, I can first be like "oooooh nooo Christmas!  So much money I have to spend." but then I can be like "oh wait, I already got half of my shopping done" with a big smile on my face.  I'll admit though, it did take the fun out of the Christmas rush and standing in long lines seeing other people getting their Christmas gifts.  Oh well, if I (or they) live long enough and have the funds, then there will always be next year.

So far I have spent $50 on birthday/Christmas gifts.  Let the crying begin.

I just realized that the oldest sister is getting $10 from me on her birthday.  Wow, how did I miss that.  It's not quite fair to the other sister, but oh well.

My work schedule is the same again for the next week.....meaning I would have gone a month without a day off by then.....and I go in today.  Well, I need the money, especially after I did half of my CHristmas and Birthday shopping, and after that the kdis are back in school so I won't be making as much money so I can grin and bear it for one more week.

That amazing moment at work when I call an old woman and she says, "you're not the one who called me before [from my company]", and I say, "no, likely not, we are many who are calling but we've called you" and she says "no, it wasn't you who called, it was a girl".  I guess that means I always pass on the phone now? Awesome.

I feel kind of weird and I don't know what to make of it. I feel soft. That's the best word I can come up with for it. It's kind of odd because (no matter how I act), I'm used to feeling rough, cold, and tempestuous. I still feel those things, but it's like they're deeper below the surface under, well, this softness. I'm not entirely sure I like it since it's kind of emasculating and considerably calmer from what I associate with myself.

I hope that I have enough ink to print out the latest fanfic. It's looking like it will be five parts and it's not even finished yet. Plus, I don't have the money to buy another cartridge right now and it would really annoy me if I had to wait on a replacement.
