I am a SO to a pre op and pre HRT MtF.
A bit about us. We have know each other for almost 8 years and dated on and off a few things during that. It had never seemed to work back then for any longer then a couple of weeks as they were also so guarded and never would let me in/ tell me what was holding them back.
Well... Makes sense now!
We could never fully stop being in each other's lives and so just always stayed friends.
In feb this year, after a long dinner of pauses and courage, they finally came out to me as being transgender. I didn't even blink when I said that I will be here for you no matter what.
A few months ago, our relationship changed and we started back into a relationship and it has been great. Open and honest. Yes, there is still moments of her being guarded with feelings but we both know that we can work through it.
I am so grateful to have found this in being a support and information.
We have a long, difficult road ahead but am all in.
