Wondering if anyone has looked into getting Medicare to pay for surgery?  I have found the law to be very vague.  It does say they will look at each case individually.  I have also contacted a couple surgeons, and they say that the law is so vague that they will not look to accept the Medicare option.  Seems like they are waiting for one surgeon to sign on and see how it goes.  Anyone have any further info?

Medicare has started to cover my HRT prescriptions and blood work. Yay! The national Transgender Equality Executive Director indicated surgeons ARE trying to implement the new rules, but for right now none will accept it. They should be fully on board by Jan 1st 2015 as far as surgery though. Mine is Dec. 2015!!!!  :)

So, what about Medicaid covering prescriptions? In Texas, for that matter. :/
