Pea sized amount of extra virgin unrefined coconut oil, gently apply to eye area and let sit for 3-5min, gently wipe off with a warm washcloth. Boom all eye makeup slips right off!

The key is not scrubbing hard at your face at all, natural oils are the best oils for longevity.

I use coconut oil more as a makeup remover & moisturizer than I do as a cooking oil!

I am a coconut oil aficionado too, great treatment for the skin.

I second this^^___^^. Jenny hit on a great thing with coconut  oil. Not only does it remove makeup well but it's great for your skin also. I've been using it for years, and attribute it to helping me look younger than I really am.

Oh, my eyeliner still looks great on the second day too. All that's required is a little touchup. My makeup routine takes me only around 15 minutes each day.

Er, so so. It'd be better if the rain would quit. Hey, I'll be moving west after my SRS this December and I'm healed enough to do so. I'm just sick of this rain and humidity. The reason I didn't go back home to California in the first place was I wanted a mother-daughter relationship with my adopted Mom -don't look like that's going to happen so why not be where I'm happiest?

Heck yes, desert time for me too please! My body always seems to reward me there. Seriously though Allyda, thank you so much for your kind words about my well being. It really warmed my heart to read and I thought you should know... Thank you.

The desert definitely has a calming effect. It's easy for me to see why it makes you the happiest, because it makes me really happy too. I looooove a good hot spring.

On that note.. I don't think I've worn lipstick in 2014 yet? How did that happen? I used to love that stuff

I was at about 5% of transition completion, deep into my androgynous "not giving a f***" phase. Walked in wearing black sneakerwedges and a leather jacket, straight up just told her that I was looking for a good night look... that I was interested in finding a good eyeliner and seeing how to use it. I also mentioned wanting eye shadow, mascara, and perhaps a bronzer. She was delighted!

The consultation was free. I think they expect you to spend at least $50 on makeup, though... But if you find a salesperson that likes you, they will do it all for you no matter how little you are buying.

Oh and btw right now I'm using Bobbi Brown's darkest black gel eyeliner and applying it with a sephora angled liner brush.

I also like Maybelline's gel pot eyeliner, too, which I think costs 1/5 as much

I just recently switched to gel, for the longest time I was using Urban Decay's waterproof gel pencil thing... Just got so tedious and being detailed was impossible and a pain. Gel eyeliner has changed my life.

The pencil stuff was hopeless for me, it kept skipping on my eyelids and liquid liner with a felt tip kept drying out.

I wasn't even in transition and went to the makeup counter, in of all places Little Rock Arkansas (The redneck capital of the US), and told the lady I needed to look really girly. After a shocked look and a moment of silence and giving her a 50 dollar tip, I walked out with 200 dollars of makeup and a lot of informative help, some of which I played like I didn't really need at the time like daytime make up and nighttime makeup for my skin tone, eye color and hair color and so on. Funny thing, is I went in looking like a biker sans the facial hair and came out looking like a hooker. It was the Eighties after all and then I had to teach the other band members to apply makeup. I left the daytime lessons out though but glad I got this woman showed me. In the eighties, 50 dollars went a lot father than it does today.

I did the Sephora "special occasion makeover" 3 times a few years back, which was minimum $50 purchase. Each time I told them I was going to a party, and I'd gone in with a small amount of makeup on (which I let them take it off and start over again). Back then, Sephora was carrying the Temptu airbrush! Don't know why they stopped carrying it, because that thing is awesome! But, yeah, seems like YMMV depending on which store and artist you get. One store I went to, in San Luis Obispo, she took the time to write out everything a list that she'd used and told me to come back anytime I wanted her to get me started on using the stuff. I went into my store here in Dayton to grab a couple products with no makeup on and facial hair mildly showing, and was addressed by my proper name (which shows up on my Beauty Insider card) and the ladies were super cool. The vast majority of the time that I go to Sephora to get makeup, I've felt treated very well regardless of how I've presented!

Couldn't resist and showed this to my spouse, she ran right out and purchased Maybelline's gel pot eyeliner. What a big influence you are Jenny! 

I've been wanting to switch to the gels myself. I heard they're much better and longer lasting. They'd prolly hold up better in this Florida heat and humidity too.

I've been lauding the benefits of gels for a few years, my sister in law got me started on them, much easier to use and no real pressure to apply.
