So I came out to my sister a few weeks ago now and she's totally supportive.  (I originally posted about that in the coming out of the closet section)

We were talking the other day on the phone and she said something like she had spent a long time trying to find a guy like me (awww, love you sis), but now things make much more sense as to why she never did:

Because I'm not a guy, there aren't any like me!

Definitely an a-ha! moment....

I've been thinking about that ever since she said it, just thought it was cool and I wanted to share.  My sister rocks!  :D

I've had more than one person tell me after I came out that realizing I was really female gave them that eureka sort of moment when everything came together. Congrats to you! :)

Same here. People might have been surprised initially, but the more they think about it the more it makes sense to them.

And I have to say I had my own aha moment about my own relationships. I was going out with cis hetro women who, one might reasonably expect, would want to be in a relationship with a hetro man. As a trans woman lesbian I clearly couldn't give that to them. No wonder I was good at friendships with women but could never form a lasting relationship.

I had the same thought too recently Ms Grace. Most of my exes always wanted to remain friends and we would get along great. I realized I just wanted to be close friends with them and they took it as me wanting to date them lol. I just wanted to be one of the girls!!!::)

Yes, I have to say it was deeply frustrating. Even worse was when they were in a relationship and I could feel that the guy they were with was suspicious of me spending time with "their woman".

;D Been there, one of my friends just recently started dating so I'm sure he'll be like that soon. I kinda feel like just telling him look it's OK, I'm just another girl lol. But, since I'm not out that would cause just a little chaos:o

Well, in a way the same experience I've had with former female lovers. Oh how I've come to HATE hearing "You are not like other guys". After they find out why they run off screaming into the night  :(
