Just Ole Me

I've been on HRT for 4 months and have had some fat redistribution already. I'm starting to lose weight as I am way overweight and wonder if I will lose in the male places more than female places or equally all over?

I have noticed in the past for months while I have gain 5 lbs my stomach has shrunk/flattened ALOT!  :o. So I'm still unsure as I didn't think that could happen until I lost weight not gained weight.

Just trying to find comfort in this "shell" that doesn't fit.  But I am "remodeling" the shell finally!

Hi Kay,

My breasts grew fast within the first two weeks of HRT, so I decided to take measurements every two weeks. I have been fortunate to lose about seven pounds since starting HRT (5 months now). The majority of loss in inches is around the waist. There has been little change in other areas. Hips, arms, calves, and neck have not changed much or decreased slightly. Even the fast gains in the breasts early on has leveled off. Thighs are strange in that both increased by an inch and a half but then decreased a by a half. Probably a result of fat gain and muscle loss at different times.

I've been on HRT for nearly 10 months and for the first 6 months saw basically little weight loss around the waist or muscles.

In the last 4 months I changed the types of things I ate, did a little more exercise and then things started to change. I have to say the majority of my weight loss has been my waist with the rest coming off the upper body. The limbs have seem some weight loss, but not as much compared to the torso. The extremities of the limbs have lost the least.

The visceral fat was the first to go, sub-cutaneous fat around the waist is some of the most stubborn to shift however, but it too is going slowly. I have lost also a fair amount of upper body fat and muscle, such that I am able to go down one band size (I wear my current bras at their tightest hook position for now). My upper arms are comparable to my SO's in girth now. The hips too have lost some mass, but this is probably more muscle than fat, I find it harder to get up from a seat than before and notice the thighs straining to get me up. My leg calves seem to be taking their time to lose the bulk though, but the muscles do seem to be a lot less defined.
Nobody's perfect ...   I'll never try,
But I promise I'm worth it, if you just open up your eyes,
I don't need a second chance, I need a friend,
Someone who's gonna stand by me right there till the end,
If you want the best of my heart, you've just gotta see the good in me.
