From time to time people will come up to me at my job and ask if I have change for a dollar to buy something out of the bubblegum machine. The way our system is set up, we only take $5 with no tax so the only time we have change (or quarters in particular) is when a customer gives them to me, which doesn't happen all the time (when it does happen, I'm glad to get rid of them because it's more convenient to have dollars than quarters). However, I have some quarters in my change jar/top surgery change so I'm probably going to back them up in a ziplock back so when customers ask me for change, I can give it to them out of my personal stock. That way, we both are happy. They are getting their quarters for gum or whatever cheap toy they want, and I'm getting my coins swapped out. I just hope this doesn't backfire on me and the boss thinks I'm stealing from him. If he asks, I will just explain and hopefully the camera will show that I didn't take any money from him.
