Indie Game Development - My New Hobby

I was always into gaming. I play Sims 3, Civilization V, Limbo, etc. on my PC and I've got a PSP-2000, DS Lite, PS3, etc. Haha. But then one day I decided to make a game with a friend. A fairly simple to program kind but which requires lots of assets: a visual novel :3 My friend's an artist and a song writer so it works. We just actually finished one chapter of our first game.

We were able to get it on the App Store and DLsite. Here's a screenshot:

Awesome sauce!  Be careful, game making can be addictive.  I started in the 80's on a commodore, and am still making them for a living now.

I worked on Civ IV... and an ex of mine worked on Sims 3, funnily enough.  Sigh.  Shame we lived 12000 miles apart at the time.

I used to spend hours when I was 7/8 fooling around with the Shoot Em up Construction Kit, copying things out of a book it Basic onto that lovely blue screen :)

Also...you worked on Civ IV?!?!  Why have you not told me this in the past you sneaky git! :P

Well, I also worked on Unreal Tournament 04 (lead characters and all Skaarj), Dragonage:Origins (original cinematics), God of War: Chains of Olympus (TV commercial), Mythos, Fury, Hotwheels: Bash Arena... gosh, heaps of games.  Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach.

Body... meet brain.  Now follow her lead and there will be no more trouble, you dig?
