Moving sucks

It really does suck horribly. Moving completely 2 times in less than 1 year and 4 times within the last 4 is really taking it's toll on me, but for the most part each move has been to a better place. The new house is a bit smaller, but the space is used more efficiently. I like it a lot. Even though the house is old it still has central air at least. The third floor is attic space, but with around 10k it would be converted into 2 additional rooms and it has a decent size basement that I don't have to bend over in for once. The kitchen is to die for. Pretty much moving into this place was solely for the kitchen. The gas stove was the deal sealer. Only bad thing I can really think of is the washer and dryer are broken and the landlord didn't tell us, but did underhandedly by saying they are "as is".

Other than that it's a nice place. I hope I don't have to move again any time soon. My joints can't take another move. Almost had myself an accident, but luckily I'm made to last and the effects are already gone for the most part. Taking 7.29 grams of aspirin every day for 2 weeks isn't a good idea and the withdrawal is out of this world horrible. If anyone doesn't know what 7.29 grams equates to, it's 3 times the maximum amount on the bottle to take. It says on the bottle don't take anymore than 8 per day. Well I took 24 per day just to numb it out. Yeh I was pushing it big time, but it needed to be done or we wouldn't have been able to move. Now that it's done I'm off and letting the pain take over since I don't have to worry about much for now.

I'll post some pictures of the house in the thread later today. My computer has made it's home on the kitchen table in the dining room next to moms laptop haha.

Moving is no fun, that's for sure. I haven't moved in nine years now. Not in any hurry to do it again.

Just be careful when posting pics of the house not to give any identifying features away, especially from the outside. Don't want unpleasant types working out where you live. :)

I'll make sure not to let out too many details of my whereabouts. If unpleasant people still come, well come hungry. I'll make lots of food to make you unpleasant and send you on your way.

I agree that moving sucks! My girlfriend and myself both have moved at last 5 times in a year due to issues!

I completely understand that feeling of hoping it doesn't have to happen again, and you can finally be somewhere you want to call home.

More or less this move was unavoidable and wasn't something to really be mad about since they still gave us till the end of the lease to move, but the timing was horrible. I got laid off right after we found out we had to pack up, but luckily we only had to move literally 6 blocks down the street. Once again though the crap hit the fan since the house is old as hell and the doors are all sized for people that must be average height of 5' and weigh less than 120 cause I care barely fit through them haha.

Moving is a natural part of life for me. Lived in 11 towns, 13 different dwellings in my 19 years.
And another move is expected early November.
Just take it easy :)

I know that feeling all too well. I thought when I lived in VA that would be the last time I'd move, but then we moved to CT and in the 7 years I've been here I've moved 6 times. I'll have to move once more when I get stable with a job that I hope to get soon and move back out.
