Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and I understand this particular posted topic is an old thread etc but I thought it might be easier to to relevant information here since it's along the lines of what I need to know. I'm two years into my transition, ftm, and I would really just like to get advice on Top surgery in South Africa/Thailand. My psychiatrist told me that no SRS was done in this country whatsoever. I feel I can wait longer for the bottom surgery but I'm becoming anxious about the Top bit. I just need an idea of costing and the best advised surgeons.

Just to clarify, you are looking for a top surgeon in Africa and Thailand?  And what country are you in where there are no surgeons?

I would probably opt for South Africa, myself. 

I'm in Australia and there are no surgeons here who do SRS (bottom surgery) either - so it's always been in the back of my mind that I'd go to Thailand because I wasn't aware that there were even South African surgeons offering SRS.

One of my friend had her top surgery done at Yanhee hospital in Thailand. I don't know the name of her surgeon though.
The fee was 89,000 or 99,000 Thai Baht depending on breasts size (2013).

Another friend had all his surgeries done at Yanhee 2010~2012
Stage one (can be done separately or together)
1.1 Top surgery 86,000 THB
1.2 Hysrto (abdominal method 69,000 THB; laparoscopic method 110,000 THB)
Stage two
2.1 closing vagina and lifting urethra (110,000 THB)
2.2 making flap (66,000 THB)
Stage three
phalloplasty+scrotoplasty (w/o testicular implants) 250,000 THB 

Just to clarify: I did not acquire this information from the hospital, only from my friends' own descriptions.
