Hiiii, this is my first time posting...   :)
I am 21 years old and I have been thinking for a long long time but still don't know if i should start hrt...  ??? I have visited a gender therpist and got dignosed with gender identity disorder but it is on the weak side.. The reasons why i resist is due to financial diffculties and the fear of rejection by friends and family. :( At the same time, i am worried that i will regret it if i did not start hrt soon...  :(  I am now serving in army as required by my country...

Hi Kittyclare  :icon_wave:

Welcome to Susan's!  There is an abundance of experience to learn from this great place.  If you have been diagnosed with GID, but are not yet sure about what this means for you, don't worry.  It is a very confusing time.  If possible, maybe start looking for an Endocrinologist, Dr., or in my case a Nurse Practitioner?   Not everyone transitions fully to a binary gender (male/female), but knowing your options and what is available to you may be a good start.

Please be sure to review

Don't worry about your age.  Some of us have about 40 years on you.  So no need to rush things.  Take your time and make sure you're doing things right.  Explore your options and choose the ones that seem right for you.  No need to hurry into something you might regret later.

welcome hon. you've taken the first steps.. found a therapist, and found this place.  Fox is right, you're in a good spot, age-wise...  you can always begin with low dose, to take the edge off, and deal with the anguish, amd angst you might have...  we're here for you..

Welcome Kittyclare to Susan's family,

I see the rules are already posted, take a moment to review.

Well fear. Yes it is a huge factor.

But can fear dictate happiness is the question?

Seems you are serving your country Atm, Great honor you give.

As you said you know where at this moment in time you fit the GD.

I feel you have not been that honest due to fears.

Need to move past them by working with the therapist.

lots of support here so we are always a few key strokes away.
