Gay' conquest spells the ENDA reason

Weatherford Democrat
By J. Matt Barber
9/23/2007

'A vote is expected soon on the pro-homosexual "Employment Non-Discrimination Act" (ENDA). This dangerous bill threatens to codify the very thing it purports to prevent — workplace discrimination'.

I've e-mailed the following to the staff of the Weatherford Democrat.com:
Quote
Greetings;

I would have been happy to leave a comment about the story in the subject line that was published in the Weatherford Democrat.com.  However, the comments page is somehow disabled at this time.

The Guest Columnist, J. Matt Barber, was originally published on the Concerned Women for America website, here:
http://naedlrega.livejournal.com/3993.html

The article was recognized as a poorly-argued attack on the transgender community, and the rebuttal, titled
"Absolutely Disgusting Transphobic Article from "Concerned Women for America"" was posted here:

It starts:

"This incredibly insulting, hateful, wildly ill-informed article appeared today on the Concerned Women for America website. It is anti-LGBT in general but focuses the majority of its venom on trans people-- specifically, on trans women. The language is very inflammatory. The avowed purpose of the piece is to motivate conservatives to lobby their congresspeople to oppose ENDA. The real purpose seems to be to incite hatred towards trans women by misrepresenting them and playing on ignorant people's fears."

In the interest of our nations' First amendment rights to free speech, I would have taken the opportunity to respond to the 'guest column' you published, had there been a functioning comments page.

Do you accept letters to the editor from anyone who cares to comment on the articles you publish?  I would very much like the opportunity to respond.

EDIT: - care to place any bets on whether I'll get a reply from staff? -k

Edit2: - Here is the company that owns the Weatherford Democrat, and about 75 0ther newspapers.  I wonder if that article has been printed in any of the others?

Mr Barber sounds very afraid.

I enjoyed that immensely.

I'll bet he's a screamer.

I'm still trying to figure out why the policy director of cultural issues for "Concerned Women for America" is a man. And of course on his bio, the very first and foremost issue he lists of importance is the "homosexual agenda."

I mean... um... huh?

David, David, David. Don't you know that women are too stupid and frail to run their own affairs? Best leave that to a man to make sure they stay on the righteous path.......

Here's something to ponder. Are any of those folks promulgating hate through organizations like that one really christian in nature or device? I was a christian, and in my experience, that would be a resounding "no!" Christ is a Liberal.

Maybe they should should change the name to Concerned Women Afraid of Having It Revealed That They Are a Tool. or, CWAOHIRTTAAT for short.
