Well, she says she's supportive.. But we both know she thinks it's just a phase - even know I said I've felt this way for at least 5 years

Lol! He's a multise/->-bleeped-<-sue, if anybody wants to see one irl.. They're only supposed to get at a maximum of 10 lbs (though mine is 13 lbs at only 17 months old) and are hypoallergenic. You should definitely check them out!

Ah, cool.

My mom has a dog like this, but she's a bitch. (The dog, not my mom. :D)

We never knew what her breed actually was. Your dog looks pretty similar to her.

Lo-freaking-l XD

My great aunt has a dog that looks exactly like him too, but they only share 1 breed. Funny how it worked out.

You have a cute dog!

I like to kid everyone who has a small dog when they are walking their dog.

I kid them by saying "Watch out for that vicious dog walking behind you"

So far everyone has laughed when I said that.

Have a nice day

Some small dogs can be pretty vicious, though. But then again, it could have more to do with how they are raised. I was walking around one day and there was a group of people standing around a car with a chihuahua. As I passed by them, the dog freaked out and started to growl. Then it charged at my ankles and tried to bite me. I did nothing to provoke the dog and I didn't notice anyone prompting the dog to do anything. I looked at them and told them to "watch your f------ dog." They gave me a blank stare and said nothing. I don't understand people like that. If you can't discipline your pet, then you don't deserve to own one.

Oh wow. Some people are just so irresponsible when it comes to pets.

When around strangers, my dog will sort of hide behind me and try to avoid them, as if they scare him. When I play with him, however, he will bite me playfully if he gets the chance... I've been trying to train him to stop. He's gotten a little better.

That's the great thing about pets: they're easy to please and they don't care about your race or religion or gender or who you share your life with, as long as you feed them, play with them, and pet them.

If people were that easy to please, we'd be a lot happier as a species.

Wait a minute...you just buried this in the thread without saying much else.  This is a big deal!  How'd it go?

So coming out to the dog prepared you for coming out to your mom.  I wonder how many more people around here will do the same now...a warm-up coming out of sorts.

I am also out to my dog, and I practice my voice when no one else is around. He just turns his head and looks at me weird, but he still loves me regardless!
