I'm excited

I feel a pinch when the needle goes in. As for the effects, much more than the pills or patches. My boobs become super, super sensitive and swollen about two days after. I would say this method of receiving E is the most effective, for me at least.

Sixteen years and hundreds of needles later... it feels like, "Oh crap!  Not again.  I'll take my shot tomorrow."

I do love the estrogrogen flowing through my system though.  I'm sure not ready to quit the needle yet.

Being a Paramedic I am used to needles so no pain just a wonderful warm rush of normalcy in my body. I will never stop injecting as the effects are so much better than patches or oral, at least for me personally. When Progesterone was added to my HRT OMG did the "girls" go to town! People can say what they want, but in my experience Progesterone should be a primary med in HRT. 

The first time was by a nurse, and it was euphoric. After that, I was taught to jab myself in the thigh, and it was pretty much routine. Only did that for a while though, prefer pills and will never go back to shots.

Switched to injections 6 weeks ago and will never go back to pills. I barely feel the needle go in. I feel a little pressure in the muscle when pushing the plunger. After that, I feel like I should with the estrogen flowing through my body.

Really what exactly does progesterone do? My doc said it is debated... Will it help my mood?

It helped my mood a LOT and the "girls" are growing faster every day now. My Endo swears by it and I am so lucky to have her. She is very progressive and actually listens to any input I may have in my treatment. I would say though that the breast growth is the biggest benefit with it. "E" alone was good, but with Progesterone in the mix all I can say is it is the difference I needed. 

Feels like success to me! Even if its a pin prick or if I do it wrong it bleeds all over.  But after being on estro for three months, allot of people are really starting to notice the changes now. 

Dread, followed by impending doom, as I take my last practice swings before the final jab. Will I hit a nerve this time? Will half the E squirt out after I pull out the needle? Worse, will have a pint of blood squirt out?

2 minutes later all is forgotten till day 2 or 3 later when the E level peaks  Then it is serenity, peace, joy. Followed by the surity I know this is so right for me

When I have to do it on my left gluteus, I freak out. With the right, It's cool. Las time I had to do the left despite pulling to check that I wasn't drawing blood, I had several drops when removing the needle.

Overall, I feel pretty much the same as with pills... Just safer that I only need to take two in the morning and two in the night

May I ask why you prefer the pills?  I'm seeing a new endo today to get a second opinion regarding injections cause I hear they are much better than pills, but I don't know.

There's no romance after 6 years... It's just "Crap I gotta do"

Just before "Ugh this sucks maybe I should switch to pills u.u." *procedures*
During "Ow... Ugh...Careful...Done, Fricking done!"

Then after abit of relief knowing it's done. Then about an hour later I get sneezing fits, abit of nausea and my boobs can ache/itch which sucks.
Then a day after that I usually wake and note my boobs looking bigger than yesterday remembering my injection.

In my case it is 80% the PITA factor. In the morning when I sit to eat breakfast there are 6-10 bottles or so of supplements sitting in front of me to take. Evening with dinner is about the same.  Less is More. 10% is the it is too easy to just 'Forget' or put it off and then start the 'I don't really need to take these every day" death spiral. (I am a slow learner about some things) Heck, even with teh smallish dose of spiro I have to do I fall into that.

THe last 10% is I get the best bang for the buck therapeutically. Plus it is easier on my already overtaxed liver
