Endo overdid it on e-cyp

anyone know what happens when your serums go over 500 low level and potentially into the 700 range sustained at its high point?

I feel like my brain is a helium balloon.  Quite sleepy.  No chest pains, just fogged up, memory still works fine.

Just saw the endo this morning.  Now I know why she was asking if I felt ok so many times.  She changed the dose but the injections are in the body, I just need to know if anyone else went through this.

Thoughts?

The good news is what we said about the injections is true.  More feminization and I am finally filling up my A cups, and they are sore .  I have hopes for a B now, and the dysphoria is so much better now that I see real boobies.

16 months HRT here.  Last 3 we went to injections, my low went from 25 to 450.  They overshot goal by 150, unexpected.

I assume I just need to outlast this and not worry.  My heart is great, so is my cholesterol.

The half-life of Estradiol Cypionate is around 7 days.  At this point all you can do is endure and wait for it to work it's way through your system.

When I get too much estradiol, I feel a bit achy or feverish, sleepy and air-headed.

Remember that your while your last shot is at half strength after 7 days, the shot you had the week before is now at 1/4 strength and the week before that at 1/8th.  It would take a bit of calculus or a spreadsheet to show it, but if you take the same amount each week, eventually it "approaches" twice your weekly dose.  Normally this is a good thing, because the amount of free circulating estrogen becomes more stable with time.

In your case it takes a while for the free estrogen to decrease.  Your estradiol levels typically peak 24 hours after the injection, so you are already on the downhill slide.

Excessive amounts of estrogen can have the adverse effect of burning out hormone receptors, so says my endocrinologist. You can't speed up the body's process thinking that more is better. Excessive estrogen can also induce Deep Vein Thrombosis, I know as I endured a very nasty life threatening clot in my own left leg awhile back. Pills are always the worst because they have to pass through the liver twice, whereas serum and topical applications only go through once after they have visited the hormone receptors, but once doesn't mean that you're out of the woods and still not a candidate for DVT.

Based on these 2 sites it doesn't sound like its particularly dangerous, but maybe you're feeling pregnant?

I am ok.  Does not feel good though.

Yeah I had a similar thing, my E level was mental like 1400, Like you they kept asking. "Do you feel okay?" "You don't feel anything strange?"

I was fine. while my levels were that high the only abnormal symptoms I had were headache spells and Nausia spells.

During the first year of HRT my E went up to 2300 before the doctor was able to regulate it, right now it fluctuates between 300 and 800, I am using depo estradiol injections.

To tell you the true I did not feel any different when I was 2300 than when I am in 700.

I noticed a difference when I was four weeks without hormones because of GRS, by week four I was feeling depressed and in a bad mood. As soon as I started injecting again my mood improved 100%.

Reassuring.  The endo is going to drop mine to 250-300 range, low end.  Estodial cypionate is marketed as depo estradiol.  Powerful stuff, packs a real whallop.

I'll be glad when the levels drop a little.  Did not like the feeling, feeling better today, 4 days after the last shot.

I'm on injections and my levels went up to 4,000 pg/ml and perhaps even more so as levels do fluctuate quite a bit from one day to another. I've felt better on injections, not worse than when I was on pills and levels were below 1,000. Pregnant women have levels that can go up to 75,000, but more typically in the 1,000-40,000 range all throughout pregnancy.

I know we cant mention dosages here but Im just wondering if your getting your shots weekly and where are you getting the injections???

Ive been on EC injections for 4 weeks now... I get mine weekly and we started at a mid range dose and increased on the last two to near "max" dose... We have been increasing because I was on well over the "max" dose with pills patches and gel all at the same time and only tested 128pg/ml....

I cant say Ive felt better on weekly Depo Estrogen (estradoil cypionate) shots unfortunately... Im going to ask my docs nurse to do my next injection in my thigh and to start showing me how to do it myself.... I plan to keep having her do it or watch me do it regardless but Id like to know how because Im planning a trip and I wont be able to get in for the shot when Im gone....

She has been doing them in the upper outer part of my butt but the last one seemed a little higher than the first three and despite increasing dosage I seem to be going backwards here

I cant say my breasts have done much at all, they were sorer and more sensitive on my old regime.... I do think my skin is a bit softer though..... I have had highs and lows I dont really care for, the highs are just fine, it's the lows I cant stand... Id love to try pellets but I dont think my doc knows much about them....

Hopefully the "max" dose in my thigh will be better, there is a bit more fat there compared to my skinny ass... I have my next labs on Oct 14 and it will be interesting to see what they say anyway....

I've got an implant while was keeping my Levels in the 1,400+ range for a few months. Personally I feel great when it is high.

I also noticed, at first when switching to injections (from pills), that my breasts shrunk and pain was less though skin (and hair) got MUCH softer. Months later, breasts are doing better. I'm on EV, not EC.
