Before you ask, I am NOT a minor. But I'm still a teen. So that narrows it down to 2 years.

Hello, I'm Audrey! Technically, I am only 9 months old by one count, 4 by another, a year and a half by a third. Where do I start?
I came out on March 14th of the year of 2013. On November 19th of the same year, I initiated hormone replacement therapy. 5 months following, I faced the smiling face of a woman of the law as I had my name legally corrected. I am the sister of two loving young girls and the daughter of a proud mother and understanding stepfather. You can say that in that way I have been privileged in my transition; I did not face banishment from my family and its extensions, I did not face workplace discrimination, and working with my high school was a breeze. I was almost nominated for prom court near the end of my senior year even.
Besides minor-league trans-advocacy, I love love LOVE music. I play sax, bass, piano, and... well... I also DJ. Nothing really special though... I'm still learning that. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE JAZZ. Anything jazz. Dexter Gordon, Charlie Parker, all the greats... The pianists like Monk and Peterson... Contemporaries like Michael Brecker... Love it. LOVE IT. I aspire to one day be that good.
Anyways... besides jazz, I also listen to a weird assortment of randomness including death metal, classic rock, classical, Japanese synthetic-voice (vocaloid) music, experimental alternative, rap, house music (because I'm an amateur DJ)... You name it, I probably listen to it.
My mom is a famous tattoo artist. At a young age she taught me how to draw. I LOVE art. And specifically... I love drawing anime-manga style things and tattoo flash and somehow have created a weird mixture of the two. I also love to cosplay. And build stuff. I lump those two together because sometimes I build very intricate things for my costumes (such as a light-up belt that is self-suspending and plays music at a high quality all on the power of a 12v battery and a car stereo system). I have also built a Tesla coil. If you don't know who Nikola Tesla is, you should. He invented your electricity, not that lying credit-stealing Edison guy.
I guess I can finish this off with a fun fact. I have literally been told for the past 4 months that I look like I am something that came out of an anime; I always have choppy, straight, side-swept hair, topped off with a stripe of pink-purple-ish dye across my bangs.
So without further ado, I bid you adieu. Cheers!
~Audrey
