I went to a new doctor to continue and modify my HRT regiment and one that actually WORKS with my health insurance so I don't have to pay out the backside for lab work and just to see the doctor. Well while the nurse was taking my vital signs and asking me questions as to why I was there. First she was very interested in how tall I was and kept saying it was so rare to see women that are around my height which is 5'11" and then she asked why I was on a hormone regiment. Before I got the chance to tell her she just blurted out "oh you must have had a hysterectomy. I'm so sorry" She didn't believe me when I said no, it's actually because I'm transgender. I really enjoyed that moment as her reaction was genuine and sure enough that voice in the back of my mind that keeps telling me that I don't pass is getting nearly silent :D

If you can fool a cis woman you obviously pass with flying colors!

You know you pass when...

You ask one of your female co-workers how she multi-tasks so well, and she replies by asking "Are you a mom?"

I have always been rather skeptical of my ability to pass but everything I keep experiencing tells me that I actually do and I'm really beginning to believe it!

I was at a club the other night waiting for a stall to open in the ladies room. The girl behind me asked me if I had a tampon. Surprisingly I did. I keep a few in my bag because my gf is forgetful about things like that and I like to make sure she has them when needed.

I was at a cash dispenser and a guy and his girlfriend said they'd look out for me as there was a shifty looking scrote hanging around and they didn't feel OK about him being near a lady with a stick

I've posted before that I still have a bit of bathroom anxiety. I was at the Sands Casino in PA the other day and had to pee really bad. Using the mens room is out of the question at this point and there were no gender neutral bathrooms so I had to use the ladies room. I walk in and it was mobbed, at least 30 women in there. I walked through the crowd and into a stall, no one batted an eye at me. I think I pass, I haven't been called sir or dude in a long time, it's been miss and ma'am for a while now.

I went to see a concert recently at the forum here in LA. The forum is an older venue with bathrooms that are downstairs. For some reason I kept having to pee so I was in and out of the ladies room several times. Of course there was a line every time but like you no one batted an eye at me being in there.

I had the same experience at dodger stadium a few weeks later except that the line was even longer there. Again, no one cared.

I keep a couple of pads in my purse in case someone asks me for one (which reminds me that I need to pick up some tampons for that same purpose). A girl friend of mine had her period start suddenly when we were out and about recently and I was able to give her a pad and come to her rescue

I gotta pick up some tampons or pads to keep in my purse for those occasions myself. Yea I've been asked a few times, and my not having one didn't cause me any problems, but I do think its a good idea. Cool passes Eva, Michelle, Kim!

You know you pass, when you get a bit tipsy, get sick of of constantly wondering if you pass or not and so ask the person you are talking to if they could tell that you were transgender and they refuse to believe you.

I did it with four people through the night as an experiment, after I had been chatting with them for a bit. A few said they would have had no idea and one said I was lying. I think he thought I wasdoing it to attention seek or something. It was quite a boost though and completely counter to what I normally do.

I also got asked back to someones, who changed his mind when I told him I was trans, so another pass, not that I would have gone. It was a good night.

This weekend I was hanging out with a girl friend and a couple that I did not know but they are friends with my girl friend. I don't believe my friend told them that I am trans. They had recently had a baby so we compared pictures of our kids (mine are 20 & 21 and are off at college) and we talked about our kids.

The wife remarked about the need to pump milk because if she didn't her boobs would get hard and painful, and then she looked at me and said "Right?". I happened to know about this even though I personally have not experienced it so I just nodded and said yes :)

When you are at a bbq, and some friends who knew you before transition keep slipping on the wrong pronouns, but all of the new people keep referring you with the right pronouns. And then when one of the guy (middle eastern) about to leave, he gave the cheek to cheek goodbye gesture to all of us including me, but when the guy after me asked him for one, he said "sorry, this is only for girls only" and shake that guys's hand to bid him goodbye. And I just stood there grinning :D

Someone you used to work with for 5 years asks if you " have a brother and oh ! he was really great to work with. And how is he ? "  :o
That is " THE " weirdest conversation I have ever had !
I would have loved to have heard that conversation!   How in the world did you talk with what must have been a HUGE smile on your face?  ;D Great job!!

So today I go to a consignment boutique to get rid of the very last of my "guy things".  I mean, this stuff was too valuable for goodwill, and it was all just taking up space.  I figured if I could get a few hundred bucks for it all, make space, then hey- more boots (or guitars  ::) ).

"So these belonged to your ex?"
