I am sure this same post has been done like... well, a lot of times. But I need to reiterate for the purpose of filling my own head with relevant information.

A bit of background. At age 17, approximately 7 months past the day of my birth, I started taking estradiol. Approximately 2 months later I was prescribed spironolactone, which was doubled the month that followed. Now I am 18 (well, technically nine months old), and I expected that by now I would have a little more boobage to show for it... But low and behold, at 9 months I barely fill my 34A. You'd think that after 9 months of estradiol I would at LEAST be filling the A. I dunno.

Anyways, obviously I am young. I've had all of the other effects take place... The softening of skin, the diminishing of oiliness, changes in scent and lowering of libido, filling out of cheeks... BUT JUST NO BOOBS. It's kinda hard for me to be viewed as entirely female by society when I am hardly filling an A cup and have an Adam's apple that protrudes like a sore thumb. Disregard the complaining.

Could it be my age? Could it be the dose? My levels are at like 111 E and 34 T (keep in mind that my T started at like 783 with a tiny 12 for E) so I don't think that's the problem...

Is this even the right forum? It's starting to make me worry that something is wrong with me.

Hi Kiddo,

Your age isn't the issue.  How you respond to HRT is controlled by time, body mass, and genes.  At your stage I was at about that level of growth.  At about two years I'm a 38C, and probably about where I'll stay.  If your BMI is below 22, you might want to put on a little weight to give you more curves.  Mostly though it is time and genes, you'll end up something like your mother or sisters.  Hang in there, this is a process for learning patience.

Thank you Julie! Gives me a lot of insight... At least I know that nothing is wrong.

To V M; Did I break a rule..? I apologize if so and will be glad to edit my post.

Welcome to the forums! Well make sure you're taking some sort of women's multivitamin that has iodine, it helps for healthy breast growth. Another thing to consider would be asking your doc about starting progesterone. You didn't state what method of hrt you're on, I'm guessin pills? If so I was on them for two years and just recently switched to injectables, within a month I noticed my boobs become a bit more full/developed. Also try massaging them a couple times a day to ensure good blood flow. That's all I can think off the top of my head, really sleepy about to go to bed.

And about the adam's apple check out this thread I made, you might find it useful. https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,169501.0.html

Cis girls can take ten years or more to see full breast growth, and there's no reason to think it'll be different with us. You're roughly at the stage an 11-year-old cis girl would be if she'd started seeing breast buds at 10 years old. I know it's hard, but patience is probably the biggest ingredient here. :)

(Yes, some cis girls seem to blossom literally overnight, but others don't start showing even a little bit until they're in their teens. It sucks for the ones who have to wait while their peers might mock them, and it admittedly sucks 100X more for someone like us who has to rely on that as a public signifier of femininity at all.)

Thank you all for your input. I actually have tried the Adams apple trick~ It's difficult for sure and sometimes I've found myself failing miserably at it. But it's working nonetheless!

Just still I slip and let it down on accident. >.<
