My wife is a jeans and T-shirts kind of girl.  But she's trans and doesn't have any hips to speak of.  Anyone have suggestions for jeans that might work for her?  They have to come in Tall, she's over six feet, and they need to be slightly plus sized.  Thanks.

Try Kohl's?  I've had by far my best luck there.  Though I can't offer advice in the 6'+/slightly plus department.

I've been liking alloy apparel lately.  They have tall sizes and I believe they have plus sizes as well.

When I wore cheap and plain women's stretchable jeans from Wal-mart, strangely people praised my body shape so much, regardless of whether I looked a man or a woman. Even my wife praised it, even though she seldom does. Especially young women tended to stare at my waist and legs. To guess the reason, I took some photos of me, but still could not get any clue.



Yes, the jeans are very comfortable to wear, and even you can exercise and do body stretching.

I've had good luck at K mart, so-so luck at JC Penny and Wal-Mart just sucks.

This verges on necroposting, so I apologize, but I'm oh-so familiar with the woes of having no hips and long legs.

It's a splurge, but I've had a lot of luck lately with Levi's and Gap.  The stores almost never have anything in tall sizes, but (depending on where you are) they can just ship them...most of these places go up to a 36 inseam, and a size sixteen; I'd recommend straight-cut especially for someone with that sort of build.  I hope this is at least a little bit helpful; I know these are "younger" stores, and way overpriced, but I've had a lot of luck with them in the past.

I found that the ones with at least 2% spandex work best, especially after the holidays.

Jeans are the most androgynous fashion in the world.  Women's jeans are cut to fit the typically wider pelvic girdle.  If you don't have that, just wear jeans that fit!  Except for having little pockets, it is hard to tell them apart.

One thing you can do with jeans is embroider and accessorize with more feminine belts, boots, etc.

I also have relatively narrow pelvic girdle, but there are many types of jeans that can make your hips wider. For example, my old Jodache jeans for juniors (size 5).

Yep, Lucky is the bombidy-bomb. They make long, slim fit sexy jeans that fit right out of the box. I freaking love them. And they're not that expensive, they have sales all of the time and they last for years.

I'm 6'1 and I got a pair at Uniqlo that fit. I think another difference with women's jeans is that they tend to have less room for the 'stuff' at the front so they look better.

Hmm maybe I'll have to try Lucky. I just tried some skinny jeans from forever 21 and they are rather loose everywhere except my calves. (I was expecting them to be tight all over)

I guess my other option would be to try and gain some weight, but that still isn't working.

I found a pair of Levis Mid Rise Skinny jeans that fit me very well. I just LOVE that pair of jeans.

The smoother the look you are able to get the better it will look. Would be great to be permanently smooth so that you would not have the problem of having to hide anything. Would be nice to be able to wear jeans and shorts that fit snugly in the crotch, and also other revealing clothing.

With the current style trends most women's jeans fit better than most men's jeans. The only problem with them is the shallow front pockets. Why do they do that?

I just watched this video clip from the Good Morning America TV show in which they compared many different pairs of size 8 women's jeans. They actually varied as much as 4 inches in the waist. Apparently manufacturers do this sort of thing deliberately so that you'll stick with their brand. The bottom (!) line is the only way to fit yourself in jeans is to try them on.

I don't have much in the way of hips and rear- and the cheap faded glory pants I got in walmart for less than $15 fit pretty decently in that area.

I was never a big fan of the expensive fancy european jeans until i visited a shop in Boston. The first time I put on a pair I was sold. I couldn't believe the full hips I had with a pair of perasuco jeans. I was sold since then. I like low cut wide fitting jeans.

It makes it very difficult to find a pair of jeans (or any clothing for that matter) that fits when companies do this.
