Just thought I would start a topic on Male Circumcision.
I saw this documentary last night on circumcision in my country. Only about 5% have it done in my country though I understand it is popular in the states. It said there has been recent research to suggest that it does reduce the chances of certain diseases - yet it sounds to me that these diseases are so rare that in practice it would make no real difference, like in the case for penile cancer or stuff that can be avoided by using a condom.
They showed it being done on a baby boy and it was horrific! Poor little tike

. I'm glad I avoided the knife.
The doco also talked about all the negative aspects like loss of feeling (something like 60% of you nerves are buggered) reduced sensitivity. One dude said it is like losing a symphony of sensation. Interestingly even the leader of the Jewish community of my country said it should not be done unless it is for religious reasons. Even he said it would be barbaric! Facinating.
I think it has important implications for MtFs seeking SRS. From what I gather the foreskin is useful material in the operation. Some of you probably have more information about this.
What are your thoughts on male circumcision?
Apparently if you don't have one you can create, regrow, your own through stretching. If anyone is interested I'll post some instructions. All you need are some really basic household items like elastic, a film canister, some first aid tape and a couple other things...But you can also buy purpose built tools to do it. I wonder if this would be useful for those seeking SRS?
