Colt

Hi everyone! I just recently had the epiphany that I am a transgender person (I was born female) a few days ago. Up till then, I had 'flirted' with the idea, but I just thought I was Butch. It's all so complicated. Once I really said the words out loud, though, and allowed myself to really think the notion through, it all felt 'right'. It all clicked into place and I felt so immensely relieved. It was like I had been living in a dark room with a tiny bit of sunlight and then somebody threw open the big shutters and flooded the room with light. It was overwhelming and wonderful all at the same time. I live with my wife and our many fur kids on the Sunshine Coast in BC, Canada. We just moved here from a colder part of the Country, so it's all been one huge upheaval. I find myself without friends, without a job, in a house I really don't like..and now the Gods have revealed this little life fact to me. I swear I must be a favourite of Loki and Discord's. lol :) Anyway, I wanted to come here and hear your stories, and maybe find Community. I have never felt a part of any Community, always been on the outside looking in. Reading some of your stories all ready, it al feels familiar, so maybe I found my 'tribe' this time round. I sure hope so. I just wanted to say hello, and introduce myself a bit, and I look forward to getting to know you all.
I may be getting older, but I refuse to grow up. ;)

Welcome Colt to Susan's family,

Well i am from the colder part of the country, or well i am old so seems more colder then i like it to be.

Everyone has there own way of coming to a idea they may fit in the GD spectrum.

I would suggest looking for a gender therapist in your area for some guidance.

Baby steps, little step or big steps are all things we do on this path of life. Just remember it is not a race to the finish line, its more a walk with obstetrical sometimes in our way.

Safe passage on your path, popcorn?

Hi Colt! Welcome to the forum. When you said Sunshine Coast at first I thought you were referring to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia, north of my current locale. But you meant even further north!!  :D

Yeah there's definitely more than one Sunshine Coast.  ;D I discovered that when we moved here. I love Australia, I wouldn't mind living there (except for the bugs. Australia has some of the biggest, creepiest bugs on the planet. Ugh lol)
