... I'm hosting a baby shower tonight.

In all seriousness I'm little worried about some dysphoria/angst/something from not being able to give birth kicking in. On the other hand, I'm not one for kids so I might get more frustrated by thinking, "Ugh. My Facebook feed is sure going to get loaded with more and more babies and children as I get deeper into my 30's..."

I aim to have a good attitude and try new experiences with gusto. With this, I've never been able to get out of the, "Ok self! Let's power through this!" mindset.

Of course I could have said no... But then I would feel worse. So, I'm doing the right thing. Even if I'm a little worried about what's going to unfold.

At least I'm hosting and another of the planners was dead set on keeping the grosser games out of this thing. "No!" she said as she pounded the table with her fist, "We will not play the game where you mash up a candy bar in a diaper and pass it around to have people guess which kind of candy bar it was!"

Good for you. Have fun GF. I'll never forget when I baked a nice cake, dressed as nice as I could & attended a friend of mine's wedding shower for her daughter. She was the only woman I really knew. She invited me however I do not think she thought I would show up & certainly not dressed as Francis. By the end of the night I had several new women friends.

You can do it GF.

Good luck!

Also...

This is a thing? All I have to say to that is why? What an un-fun, gross sounding game. Not to mention a waste of a perfectly good candy bar.

I don't think I made new friends but, I think my existing friendships became stronger. :)

Now I gotta figure out how to make the girls fill out my corset for Sunday... HRT blessed me, and I love my girls... But they are not would you call ample and go MIA in my corset.

Don't think about never being pregnant.  You got to host a baby shower.  That's already just about as girly a thing as you can imagine.  Sounds fun!

Thanks for the update. I wondered how it went. That's nice news on your girls. If I can ask what size are you? I'm maybe a B cup & growing some however no where close to what would be nice. I bet your girl friends really appreciated you hosting a nice party. Good for you.

I'm not sure their size. I wear B's but use the cups to make em' look that big. Maybe an A? Maybe less. A little disappointed cause I'm knocking on two years of HRT so I don't think they'll get much bigger. But, they're mine.

I had help throwing the event from four other women. It was nice being included in the planning right away. :) This was a women only event too at the request of the expectant mom so there was all kinds of happy and warm feelings for me there.

Misato, Thanks & good for you on co hosting a baby shower. To help a young girl or woman with a new child is so special. You are a kind soul inside I'm sure. You should be proud of yourself as a woman.

That's sad to see on your breasts after 2 years of HRT. So many have to get implants. I'm one year with HRT & maybe mine can grow, they are OK girls but not the biggest on the block for sure.

Take care. Thanks for your post.

Misato, I'm older than you & had a complete face lift with eye lid surgery 3 months ago. My plastic surgeon had a large practice. My face lift went well & I've finally healed up. However while there we talked & I looked at a lot of pictures of his cis women patients that had had breast implants. They looked great & it's really easy surgery compared to what I went through. Let's face it women are judged sometimes by the size of their breasts. I would love to have C or even D cups I think. It's just a though GF but it is very simple surgery. So many cis women have breast implants, more than anyone would think.

Take care.

They may be small but all that really matters is I have them. Bigger would be comfortable but it's not like I'd be one to let them breathe whilest out in the world. Having small breasts does have advantages for me too. :)

If I can ever get past "OMG SURGERY!" ringing in my head, cosmetic SRS that's all that's in the cards for me on the surgery front.

Go read up on just how disturbing pregnancy and birth  really are. You'll feel a bit better.

The after birth always gets me. I saw a cow give birth once: First came the calf, then came the after birth, then the cow tried to... eeewwww....

I'm not cut out for parenting. That alone makes me to not want to have kids and makes things easier. Still, I feel a wee bit deprived of potential at times.

On breast surgery it was just a suggestion, I understand.

To me the glow from a pregnant woman is amazing, they look so beautiful & their skin always looks so smooth. The E they are receiving must be 10 times the level of our HRT that we take. And their breasts grow so large to make milk for their baby. I would have loved to have been born a cis gril/woman.

Take care & please let us know of the next baby shower, maybe some of us might want to attend.

Thanks for your post GF.
