Well just a little status update, Sorry for the long pauses btween when I pop in everyone, I been working 57+ hours a week, well up untill I started college 2 weeks ago,  Going to purdue calumet. Psy major. Wanna be a gender therpist.  Live off campus with sour skiddlez, we got through our rough patch we went through. So glad to report we are a happy couple still,  Aside from that my time on campus has been good so far, (even tho I think my spanish teacher and english comp teacher are unorginized idiots) Havnt been clocked, Havnt had any real issues. So im very thankful for that.   Just finding the time and energy to do anything besides go to classes, homework, study, and sleep, then work 2 15hr shifts on the weekend.  rinse and repeat, im exhausted.          Well im tired as hell and gonna start going in circles if I dont end this post now so I hope most of you are all doing well, and miss you all.

Sounds like you are doing an awesome job of staying on top of things, but remember to look after yourself. BTW, what is a "sour skiddlez"?? Auto correct?

Oh, and I am 'trying' to look after myself, I got my first appointment with the campus counsilor/therpist on monday. Just to do venting and break the ice and bla blah blah, so that way I got a way to help keep my head on straight lol.

I'm gonna go to college to major in Psych too. I think I'd like to help all kinds of people but peeps like us would certainly be well suited to specialising in gender issues. I'd definitely want to help other trans people. That'd probably be a major focus because I feel there just aren't enough trans professionals in that field. I think I could bring my experiences in addiction, depression and anxiety from my old life to help others too. It'd be great to turn the darkness I've experienced into light for other people, you know?

Good luck with everything!

I know that you've been through some rough times and i'm glad that you hung on and made it out the other side. Hopefully there won't be any more of those hard times!

I just started back to college at 51 and like you the studying and the homework doesn't leave me much time for anything else. I think that is the price for getting an education but it will be worth it some day.

Thanks for the well wishes and I hope everything thing works out for those of you who mentioned going to college also.

@cynthia   Oh yea I remeber the snow storm post when I got frost bite. The back of my feet/ heels has some insane scar tissue from where all the dead tissue once was.

I have started a psych degree myself to become a psychologist specialising in gender related issues. But I wish we didn't have to bother about statistics...when I did my first uni degree (bachelor of business), I only barely passed the statistics parts. I start another degree, and the first two subjects...statistics.
When we look into a mirror, we see who we really are. But when we look into our minds, we see whoever we think we are.

Good for you!  Although as an IU grad, I'm not really supposed to support anyone going to Purdue.  :)
