Hi everyone,
I've admitted to myself who I am now (several times but keep going back to being unhappy as a male) but my parents aren't supportive, so in order to help express the feminine being inside me I'm trying to accumulate different feminine items. I've purged twice :( For the past couple of days I've been going to the thrift store after school and trying on womens jeans. They feel so good and I love them. Haven't found any yet that fit me perfect. Does anybody else have any suggestions on little things I can do to let the girl in me out without making them mad. I'm 18 but still live at home and don't want the environment at home to go bad :-\
Kisses,
Kayla

Achieving your female voice and being yourself through online gaming communities like xbox live for example. That was one way I coped when I was terrified of coming out and wasn't sure how my parents would react about my transition.

How do you start learning your female voice. Sometimes I sing along with female singers on the radio. You mean like that?

The first thing I will tell you will be about your security. Since your Parents don't seem to support you, keep it a secret and hide your clothes. You don't want to be kicked out onto the street as some parents have done so. You can always tell them later after you have become more self supported, like having a full time job.
Second if you are having trouble finding sizes that fit you, look up sites like Lane Bryant they have all sizes for all types of garments in their charts.
Third if possible see a gender therapist.
Shoe sizes can be found at web sites who cater to TGs
Where they convert mens to womens sizes. Shoes for women seem to be a size larger than mens shoes.  IF you wear a 9 in mens, you will probably need a size 10 womens shoes. Widths are tricky.

If your school doesn't have gym class you can polish your toes and wear panties under male clothes. The only problem would be you in an accident where they could find out.
Practice filing your nails you can keep them male shaped, no finger polish needed

I looked up lane bryant and it's for plus size I guess. I'm about the same proportions as girls my age tbh ;D

You can also try Lands End, Ann Taylor, or Talbots. When On each site enter Size Charts in the search for box
This should help you

Thanks Janet. I've looked at Land's End really quick and they have some super cute outfits!

have you  been able to discuss things with a counselor of some kind. I know  the last time you were posting you were thinking about it.
  •

kaylagirl0806

No I haven't been able to :-\ The counselors at my school are only for like college prep things and I asked my parents for therapy and they said no because it was all in my head, I was listening to the devil etc.

Hi Kayla, in my case a female voice was the harder thing to achieve, it took me around 3-4 months before i was able to get there, there are many online training methods you can do in order to get there.

At the beginning will be difficult and you will feel like there is nothing happening, but you have to make sure to do a lot of training, specially talking and recording yourself.

Remember that there are tone and frequency, tone is really important, there are some basic differences between men and women tone and this will help you a lot (for example the way words are pronounced or how you end a phrase).

Frequency is important as well, this is the most difficult part to accomplish and can only be done with a lot of training.

Good luck!!!!

Oh I was also wondering if anybody had any suggestions for small feminine things I could start doing on a daily basis?

I also agree with some of the comments above, sometimes is better to wait until you are able to support yourself before you go thru the changes.

I had to wait 35 years to get there, I knew my family was not going to support my transition and I had to make sure i was in a good place both economically and physiologically.

It was worth to wait for 35 years, I was able to learn and live many different experiences, and all of these experiences made me strong and ready for my transition.

You look beautiful in your picture, and you may feel that you are ready to get there, but you are 18 and you need to have the economic support from your family, at least until you are able to support yourself. Make sure you finalize college and get a job, then you will be able to support yourself and plan your transition without having to worry about your family.

Good luck again!!!!

Thanks!! I'm not wanting to fully transition right now because you are definitely right, I don't have the funds. I do want to start behaving more like a girl and adopting some feminine rituals so I can stay true to my being a girl without my parents blowing up

There are several things that you could do, like sleeping with feminine underwear and pajamas (if you are able to), you can also keep your nails in a feminine way and use transparent nail polish.

I also used to sleep with a body cincher which help a lot and made me feel feminine.

Sometimes i used to go to school with bra and panties, that gave me a lot of confidence too.

There are small things but you will always want more and more every day until this small things are not enough.

You have a beautiful road in front of you, it will not be easy, but you will learn amazing things while you go thru it and that will help you develop as a beautiful and secure woman in the future.

I had several pairs of cute panties last year that I just absolutely adored! My mom found them and took them :( I painted my nails clear once, my mom yelled at me so I made up a story about losing a bet :-\ This is how me trying to be myself goes around my house :( I hate it, especially because I can't make them understand

Same with shaving my body hair. I hate it because it feels gross and unclean, but I have to keep it there because of my parents and the fact that I shaved my legs openly for about a month and got laughed at at school. I would love to wear a bra to school as well but again, i would be laughed at.

Oh, poor darling.  I feel so much for you as when I was your age, the same happen to me for the most part.  My mother never through out my feminine things, but did at the very least tell me to keep it in my room.  Hmm, so suggestions on little feminine things.  I feel so terrible this is where you are right now, as I wish so badly that you could be farther along.  Being 18 though, you can without parents consent now, go to a doctors office and give them your "informed consent" to start HRT.  They will agree, and run your bloodwork, and give your a prescription.  But..as for small things.  You are extremely limited it seems as they are so hell bent on removing any and all things feminine from you.  You will someday have to learn to stand your ground and say enough is enough.  I'm legally an adult and I will dress or act how I please.  You will have to learn to hide things from your parents better if you hope to have any feminine things.  Paint your toenails, wear lotion, perfume, tweeze your eye brows subtly.  Apply a "true blend" foundation, which after rubbed onto the face, will give your face a smooth, clean, pretty complexion.  Do minimal mascara.  Practice writing pretty, sing mostly only female lead songs.  Occasionally taking breaks, so not to strain your voice, and use a phone to take sample recordings so you can adjust where you need.  Purchase androgynous styled girls tennis shoes and a neutral color (white, black).  Ladies white socks are way comfortable, and look identical to guys.  Wear cherry chapstick or softlips for the supple look.  I got plenty for you girl, the list goes on.  I had to hide femininity for years from my family.

Thanks so much Crissy!! And you are super pretty as well!!! I'm always being told that I write like a girl actually :) I normally use a little mascara everyday for school. I use blue chapstick (the moisturizer kind). I used to have babylips but i lost it :( I would definitely love to hear more of that list! We should pm!
Thanks girl!,
Kayla
