Hi all, does anyone know what happens to belly fat on HRT? I read one article saying it migrates and another saying it increases. Any first hand experience?

Sorry, but it does not relocate. When you Estrogen levels stabilize in the female range though any new fat will be disbursed to the right areas. That is one of the reasons Endo's prefer lower weights before HRT as it is harder to lose stomach fat with female metabolism.  :)

Belly fat is a pain,  I spent six months running, doing crunches and eating nothing but stems and seeds  before beginning HRT and dropped 40 lbs and 5" off my waist  Went from a BMI of 27 to 22 and change.  Since then (2 years) things have hardly moved.  New fat on my breasts and but, which has come at the expense of muscle.  I am such a wimp now.  But my belly pooch - still there.   sigh

Starting fit is best, getting fit is imperative.  Throw away the Doritos, lace on the sneakers.  This is a big deal, and the better shape your body is in, the happier you'll be with the results.

Thank you ladies, I have cut down tremendously on food intake, I work a lot, I guess I am going to have to make the time for walking and other exercise   :(

Frankie,
20 minuets of fast walking four times a week combined with 50 crunches will make a huge difference.  It isn't just calories, it is conditioning, but you don't need  a gym or a trainer.  I could spend the money, I don't have the time.  I work 50+ hours a week too.

Drink water before you eat,
Get exercise every day, walk and take the steps,
Portion control,
Have goals over time,
weigh yourself and keep records,
do not let a slip turn into a remission,
celebrate your accomplishments often,
positive reinforcement only is allowed and be happy, hugs.

I don't know that you lose fat :D
But a month and a half into HRT I've dropped 5 Kg, and that has very noticeably come from my stomach

I should point out though, that I have always been in the healthy BMI range and that weight loss is almost certainly muscle

Strangely enough the last time I was on HRT my metabolism seemingly kicked into high gear and I lost much of my belly fat. It's really weird. But it could have been that I felt much better about myself, ate healthier and exercised more.

I do a lot of walking at work, running up and down steps, moving "boats" (large wooden goes on wheels) plus doing the side work when I am off from my regular job. I use to exercise on a regular basis, weights, running a t-mill, bike riding etc until I injured myself, after the third injury I sold all the exercise equipment. I am ok with my build except for my protruding belly. In M mode I wear loose clothing, in G mode my clothes are a little more tapered and which make me feel a little uncomfortable, especially with mid rise jeans it seems they hit just below the sag :(
