Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience in getting rid of the things they aren't using. I've had top surgery so I have a small binder that I only wore a few times. It is the underworks tri-top in white. I also have a ReelMagik basic packer I don't need and an Emisil Prosthetic with adhesive/remover that I never used and probably won't be using since I'm getting bottom surgery. I don't have facebook but I would probably create one if there is any way I can get these items out there because they are literally just sitting in boxes in my room. I'd much rather get them to someone who would actually use them.

I used transbucket back in the day to get rid of some other stuff but I cannot figure out how to make a post of that nature anymore. I don't think it is an option so I'm not really sure. I have made a post on FTM Garage Sale but there aren't very many members. Are there any other sites that are used for this sort of thing? I hope I'm not violating the rules of Susan's by making this post (if so I'm sorry).

I've seen people use the ftm tag on tumblr, and *quite a while ago* this forum, to give away gear.

Nowhereboi

I've had some luck through Tumblr's "packer" tag.

Any chance I can take the ReelMagik basic packer off your hands?
As for the Underworks binder, you can always donate it to the "Big Brothers Binder Program".

The forum doesn't allow selling of this stuff. I wish they did. I was on an aquarium forum which allowed it but it was very controlled. They had a separate "want to have/ for sale" section. Everything went there. No commercial vendors. As I recall there were very few problems.

Just wanted to tell the group that I passed on the Emisil, in case anyone wants to hit Kenton up.  Go onto the FTM garage sale site where you will see information on how to contact Kenton through email (instead of private messaging him here), so that it is completely removed from Susan's.    http://ftmgaragesale.livejournal.com/#entry_190573

Jay,
I'm on a BMW forum and it works the same way.  We have a for sale forum.  People have to post the price for the product and people "call dibs", the way I did in this thread.  If the first one doesn't buy the product, it becomes fair game again.  Since the people selling the goods are forum members, they are motivated to remain ethical and sell with integrity or ->-bleeped-<- gets back to the group.  It is all very gentlemanly!

I think it was a non-issue. I feel people were motivated to follow the rules. Yes discussion was not allowed. It worked a bit the same way. You were supposed to contact the individual directly. We also allow it on our FB group, though it's smaller. I think the aquarium group, if anything, was larger.

I agree Jay.  I use a forum for electronic cigarette stuff that has a Sale/Trade section that continues to be a great success.  I have bought, sold and traded there often since 2010.  I think it would be a tremendous asset to Susan's.  It could even be set up where only members at a certain level, or contributing members could have access.  I would think it could have the potential to increase revenue to the site in the long run... Just my .02 cents worth :)

I think the plan is to stay out of commercial aspect as long as possible.

Yes, though the forums some of us describe do this and don't allow companies. It's just members without affiliations.
