Being Trans: Women's One-A-Day Vitamins?

Dunno how many of ya'll saw my post about boobs... We won't talk about it if you haven't. But I recall somebody saying that women's multivitamins were a good way to assist your HRT in making changes, specifically in the bust area.

I was wondering if anyone has any more information on this... Did I receive misinformation, or was it correct to a point or at all? Has anyone had experience with taking women's multivitamins? To those who use them alongside HRT, do they help with development?

As an added bit of information, I have been on HRT for 9.5 months just about and thus far there hasn't been much change to my chest. Still an A. But I'm also skinny as heck and 18.

I guess what this post is getting at is: Does taking a women's multivitamin assist with transitioning?

I take them.  I don't really know if it is helping any because there is no scientific way of knowing what would have happened if I didn't, but if your body is not getting the nutrients it needs, that will work against you in many ways no matter whether you are trans or cis.

I really wish I could add some positive insight to your question, but all I can say it I am taking woman's diet pills which supports hormones it says.  I got a funny look from a woman who worked at Walmart where I purchased them and she said, those are for woman, and I responded "I know".  She then said, those won't work for you.  Which I replied, "oh they'll work, trust me".  I got the chemistry it responds too XD she just laughed.  And to my surprise, I've lost 5 lbs so far. :)

I've been told that the bests vitamins are women's pre-natal. That's entirely unofficial, not backed by any scientific study and pure conjecture by those who do take them.

For myself, I take a women's over 55 vitamin because I have issues with certain levels in my blood and a women's over 55 has lots of B-12, which I need (according to my endo) to help avoid anemia.

I mentioned taking a women's multivitamin in one of your threads so it might be me, that contains iodine and vitamin k. Iodine helps for healthy breast growth and the vitamin k helps prevent clotting in the blood.

You can look this info up though, no misinformation here.

"During breast growth, a girl's requirement for iodine, an essential mineral, increases, because healthy breast tissue concentrates iodine (it contains more of it than the surrounding tissues). In fact, breast tissue has the second highest concentration of iodine in the body (the thyroid has the highest). The larger the girl's breasts become, the more iodine she needs."

Ever since I started HRT I've wondered what are the most appropriate vitamins to take.  I'm finishing off the rest of the men's multivitamins I have because I just assumed since I don't bleed every month I'm not missing anything.

 If you're not eating enough fruits and vegetables then a multivitamin can be useful. The "women's" label matters about as much as buying a pink toothbrush.

I mostly just take vitamin D, that's mostly because I don't get anywhere near enough sun... but I do worry about my bone health and the effect HRT might have on it.

Hi,

regardless if your male or female  , eat the right food and good quality and a balanced  diet then you should not need additives

same,  for drink drink right and live right, 
was that not taught at school we were taught that  50 years ago , if you have health issues then look at your self and see what your doing to your self  as that has a major bearing on older age as well,  ,

if you need supliments then time to see a good Dr or health adviser and have a few blood test to see  if or what you may need to bring your body back to normal.

if health is an issue then get a check up .

Compare the adult over 50 multi vitamins; the women's over 50 multiple vitamins; and the men's over 50 multiple vitamins - there isn't much difference - just a marketing gimic.
