Or panties or pants or ... whatever your regional name are for ...

I've GRS with Dr Brassard in 3 weeks and I would appreciate hearing folks experience of what worked well post-GRS in the knicker department ... style/material/colour ... what was comfortable and effective and ... etc

I'm using loose fitting hipsters - cotton. Aim for one size larger; pads can be upto 3-5mm thick. It helps stop the pad pressing too hard when you walk. I have some frilly ones but they put a lot of pressure onto the sides and were more uncomfortable.

Brassard recommended white cotton panties, so that was what I got; plain white briefs, a size bigger than usual. However, immediately post-GRS, while you're actually staying in the hospital/residence, they will provide underpants for you (some kind of mesh panties thing that was supposed to be changed constantly). You won't need your own supply until you leave for home. I believe he recommends white cotton for a while after you get home just so they're easily bleached if there are bloodstains. My own recommendation is, don't get too attached to whatever you do pick out. ;)

Good luck!!

Yes white cotton panties a size larger for sure.

They will get destroyed in short order so as said just stay plain Jane knickers.

You there same time Tammy she's the 24th.?

Are you talking about straight off the table?

Just go for the most simple, non-white ones you can get, buy a heap and even a size bigger for the first few weeks, you'll never wear them again I found, so go cheap, buy heaps and don't fall in love with them.
Yes! I'm single
And you'll have to be pretty f'ing amazing to change that

Thanks Girls!

General consensus (here and on another site I belong to) is white, cotton, seamless, not expensive, boy shorts.
Easy to spot any fluids, easy to bleach, easy to replace, cheap to toss when I'm done and no "edges" near sensitive areas ... also cotton breathes nicely.  A size larger then normal (whatever that is ... I've always had to buy support knickers to ... ahem ... keep in the bits) to accommodate the liners.

Izzy, Tammy and will be overlapping a day or two and I'm hoping to visit her when I arrive which will be a day or 3 after her op.  My Op is on Sept 30.
