Hi I'm jake.

I'm a 27 year old music promoter and band managerliving between Sunderland and Manchester in the UK.

I have known I was a trans guy for a very long time but due to he Horror stories I hear constantly from other trans folk I was terrified to come out.
However last week I took the brave step. I started by telling my mam. She accepted me with open arms and did everything in her power to help. She bought me a sports vest to flatten my chest (I have a big chest and asthma so binders are awkward for me) helped me to come out to the rest of my family-all of which are incredibly supportive too- and paid for me to get my hair cut in a boys style. She has accepted me as her son straight away and I feel like the luckiest guy on earth.

Because of that, and the fact my best friends were already behind me I came out publically. I was tired of hiding. I was terrified of what the reaction would be but before long I was flooded with messages of support and understanding. Every single one of my friends said they would stand by me and that meant the world to me.

I am now living my life as I should've always been- as jake- and the support I've had has been immense but it's still nice to find a place like this where I can share experiences and advice with people who truly understand what I'm going through and what obsticles I may face in the future, or simply someone in the same boat as me who I can befriend.

So here I am, it's nice to meet you all!

Over and out,

Transition is not always doom and gloom. Yes it can be hard on some or many but in the end if you keep true to your lives path you will come out of the other side a happier human.
In the meantime pull up a chair and give a look over the following links for the site info...
