Got a call from Target asking me to come in for an interview on Friday. Real early though but they're LGBT-friendly.

Friendly-ish. They won't outright discriminate against you, but I got a lot of flak from them a while back for having my hair too feminine. As long as you look and act conservative, they'll put up with some things.

Was it because they were afraid of what customers might think?

That's the gist of what they told me at the time, even though I never had a single complaint about me, and every survey that came back had nothing less than stellar reviews about me.

So, while they're friendly enough, it's still very much about what corporate, and through them, the boss, think of you.

I do hope your interview goes well. :)

A lot of people apparently miss me at the old store, some have been telling me I should go back, lol.

It's always nice to know that you're appreciated and well liked.

And too, I don't think they are being taken care of quickly and as efficiently as I did, plus I made sure the vendors kept certain things stocked up. One guy told me that he didn't realize that it was me that making sure his favorite energy drink was kept in stock until I left and they ran out and are telling him that they can't do anything about it.  I keep it in my current store though, so he just comes and gets it from mine now...  Once I know someone likes something and will buy enough of it, I do make sure the vendors bring it in if its a product authorized for sale by our corporate office. Plus too, I never gave anyone attitude and could keep things like who got what gas straight.

It definitely sounds like you know what's important for a job like this. :)

It's funny how nobody notices all these little things until we're gone, right?

Went for a bike ride tonight as it was quite warm for this time of the year. Just out of winter here. Almost beach weather.

Rode with a friend who I haven't seen for a while.
He's struggling big time and we had a good chat as he has started seeing a therapist for the first time.
It's related to work and family issues, never good. He knows that I have seen therapists in the past so I could openly talk to him about it which he appreciated.
He seemed relived to open up to someone which was good.

Told him if it gets too much he can always stay with me for a bit.
Always good to have an option if needed to get away from it all.
So long and thanks for all the fish

This is my favorite thread to catch up on.

I was going to say what made me happy was how the wind makes a roaring sound with the tall trees on my street, but it just occurred to me that I was really flatlining emotionally for a couple weeks, and that seems to have broken. My newly-social roommate uses my trans status to brag about how tolerant he is and as a conversation starter and I think that was bothering me. I knew this kind of thing would happen when I decided to transition, but it's still hard to get used to when it flares up. I feel better now that I'm back to being used to it.

I'm also still really happy about moving. I don't even care what the neighbors do. Knowing I can leave this place makes a big difference.

My dispute with my former employer has been resolved. I'm not allowed to talk about it, But I think they have made the workplace a little better for trans folk because of me. So, I'm happy.

Also, I think I found my trucker handle. Friends call me Kiki because my real name can often be hard to spell or pronounce. I'm driving truck. And, unintentionally, my wife says my hair  Matches a certain "witch". So, it would be "Kiki's Delivery Service." I decided to get a simple red bow to wear in my hair too. :P

Had a lovely oil massage today. Haven't had one in such a long time. This is the first time I've been free of body hair (notably my legs) when I've had a massage and I have to say it was bliss. Utter bliss.
