I was talking with my mom, and she said when I was born, the doctors had me circumcised without her consent at a non Jewish hospital.
now that I suspect that I have AIS I've become a bit suspicious, but my mom says that they did it to every boy.

Can anyone shed some light on this?  And, just an FYI, I was born in 1979.

It seems the 60-90's was the peak of the circumcision coercion in the US. Born in 77 here, it was never even debated during that period locally.

I wouldn't say  60's to 90's.  My kids were born in that time and not circumcised and I was asked if I wanted it done or not.  My one ex was also not circumcised, he was also born in that time frame.

I was born in 1953 (told you I was an oldie!) chopped but I have to admit I don't remember it. No idea why, it wasn't for religion.

I was born in the 80s and I was circumcised with my parents Permission how ever I have hypospadias and other conditions

And see that's why I wonder.  It makes me wonder if I did have something "wrong".

I've read you can have a mild case of hypospadias, and you'd look like you where just circumcised.

My mom sad u had a cap on for like a month or so.

I wasn't and I insisted that my son won't be over the protests of his mom... She said, "but everyone does it and it's healthy!" My response was, "listen. I have one. It's not circumcised. I'm fine. You need to trust me on this one."
