Well, I just flip 'em the bird or stare right back just as hard as they do. If you really feel like stirring the pot, flirt with them. You may be surprised at the response you get. But never put yourself in danger though.

It depends on the context of the policing, in the street it's just another form of harassment and reaction depends on situation. If I feel threatened I'll get out of the situation, if I don't I might retort.

In the online environment I am perfectly capable of wielding words as weapons and sometimes do pick fights. I am quite capable of being prickly in the extreme if I want to be.

Unfortunately I think I am the biggest policewomen around my own gender norms. If I can't relax, then I'm always looking for things I am doing 'wrong.'
Used to be a lot worst when I was trying to pass as male though.
